Ya know, I was a North fan for a long time, Monster and wise guys, I even tried to give his MNMS another try, even after he said he was going to put me in the poor house. But giving him ten minutes everydya b4 I get to work, he has just become such a asshole and thin skinned, I hope he gets launched, because he has done nothing but mail it in for 3 years and blame everyone but himself.

Mike has made this mess, now he has to deal with it.

Amended some wording at request of the Maker

I, for the record, am one of the three that voted for the re-positioning of a Mike North.

We all know a ton of the content on North's show is bad and I know it is because he thinks of most of it and he hired everyone associated with the show (That whole Anne thing still is amazing), but they might need to go outside the hollowed halls of 670 and find someone ready to fight.

Or even find the next Mike North and combine with a classic radio guy to make sure someone can hit the dump button when the F bombs are dropped.

Also some good bits might be a great idea and they could won the mornings.

I have a question for Panther and others who claim they can no longer stand Mike North:

Why do you continue to listen?

This is a serious question and I am in no way intending to be facetious or arrogant. I used to listen to North about 8 or 9 years ago. I found him mildly entertaining but I became turned off by his constant political thoughts and ignorant racial stereotypes that he though constituted as entertainment. I can honestly say I have not listened to his show ever since. I find him in no way entertaining.

When I glance at this section occasionally, there is a common theme I have noticed. "Fire North", "Mike North Sucks", "I can't believe he got away with saying that".

Is the appeal of his show simply the shock value (what will he say next)? Do you not care for the alternative shows on other stations?

A lot of times my car radio's on 670 from the night before...If it is I'll listen up to the first update and that's it. Otherwise, if the radio's on NPR or GN, I keep it there...

I live on the IL/WI border, so its either 670 or 620, so I tune mike in from 6:10 till 6:25 on my way to the train, so I wouldnt say I listen to him, but it only takes 15 minutes to hear how bad it is now. Also, dont forget, we get the best of the best shoved down our throat during the course of the day, so that is another way to get the North material.

I am not for firing Mike, but put him somewhere else during the day and give him a partner that will challenge him, instead of Fred who is just there to warm a seat and eat the free food.

Carmen has a shot at really doing something with his career right now. Why the hell would he want ot go throw that away with North? It's a sinking ship, better to bail than to go down.

Neither one would be able to get a word in edge wise. They'd be talking all over each other. Mariotti would need to wear a rain suit with all the spitting coming from North's mouth.

It would be a train wreck, but worth listening to for the short time it would last. It would be a fitting finale to North's career on Chicago radio.

I do blame North for the morning show sucking. It's all his dieas put into motion. It is bad, it is rarely interesting or even entertaining.

I guess term that can be sued, it is very easy to turn off. Even if I know Martin Short was coming on. lol

yet, I am not in favor of the Score losing North and I think it is time to seriousely consider Abatacola to be teamed with North in the morning. Fred can still sit there, but they need to replace Jen as exectuive producer a some ideas for the show are going to be needed.
