I do blame North for the morning show sucking. It's all his dieas put into motion. It is bad, it is rarely interesting or even entertaining.

I guess term that can be sued, it is very easy to turn off. Even if I know Martin Short was coming on. lol

yet, I am not in favor of the Score losing North and I think it is time to seriousely consider Abatacola to be teamed with North in the morning. Fred can still sit there, but they need to replace Jen as exectuive producer a some ideas for the show are going to be needed.

Next time in English please bigfan

OK, I listened this morning. Part of the time (Rock's open?) was spent with the 'headliners' blasting Jim Carrey as a profitable but unfunny & poor actor. Part of North's show (that I missed) involved bringing on Martin Short to promote something? WTF??? Jim Carrey is a bad actor per North - and to be maligned, but the unfunny, UNPROFITABLE Martin Short is a good guest because...why? I did catch the afternath where they did refer to SCTV bits??? You mean the same SCTV that came on in the late 70's, and was only funny in spots, unprofitable, and for which Martin Short was at best a bit player?

Lets see unfunny, bad/neverwas comic-actor promoting something = good guest. Juvenile, yet profitable actor who bigtimed someone at a hotel where North gives out the free plugs = hack?

Please explain...

I have no knowledge about profitability but Martin Short is both funny and talented.

They already tried the Drinky + Pappy combo. If I remember correctly, everybody seemed to think it failed because North didn't like to be constantly reminded that he's a loud, backwards idiot.

Also, Martin Short is not funny, just creepy. He kind of looks like a boytoucher to me.

You mean the stirring performances as "Jiminy Glick" or "Ed Grimsley" don't do it for you. (Had to check IMDB & those appear to be his career highlights   )

The Three Amigos- great and underrated film
Father of the Bride- chick flick, but he stole the show

You act as if he is some kind of never was. Martin Short has had a long career as a comedian and comedic actor.

Innerspace with Dennis Quaid & Meg Ryan was horrible.

It's one of those movies I didn't realize was bad until I grew up...

Great? Very Good? The Three Amigos was ok at best, campy as hell, plus weren't Steve Martin & Chevy Chase(?) the headliners of that movie anyway. (If there were 'stars' of that movie) Don't know Father of the Bride, can't comment.

We can agree on one thing though, Martin Short has had a long career as a comedian and comedic actor, but just not a funny one. I mean as comedians and comic actors, he'd be below say a Janeane Garafalo, a Gallagher, even a Sinbad if you will in my book.

Ok that's a BIT harsh. Sinbad was a comedic abomination in everything not named "Necessary Roughness".

I never read the book because it was universally panned by the critics. I believe one critic called it "the unreadable ramblings of a delusional individual completely lacking in comedic perspective".
