Could you expound on that?
http://lucasmuseum.org/museum

You seemingly have never visited the site. I would recommend doing so.

Calling it the Star Wars Museum would be like calling the Field Museum the Dinosaur Bones Museum.

"Star Wars Museum" is pretty obviously an intentional dysphemism. Talk about needlessly obtuse.

 It's nothing like that. Like I said, it's Stars Wars crap and Norman Rockwells. Maybe he has a couple signed E.T. posters his buddy Steve gave him.

You need to read JORR in this thread before you say this.

Oh boy, Norman Rockwells. Maybe he's got some sweet Thomas Kinkades of some cottages burning down from the inside out. Now that's storytelling.

My favorite touch on that website is the (stock photo?) of ancient Greek pottery as if to suggest this is an actual museum rather than something that belongs in the Streets of Woodfield.

Huh?

Did you just make that up? I mean, the building literally doesn't exist and yet somehow you know this?

I'm sure there will be a permanent Star Wars exhibit and that is fine because it was a big deal. I would bet good money that it will have a large collection of non-Star Wars exhibits too.

I hope Curious Hair reads this before acting like I was being obtuse!

I'm looking at his website that you linked to supposedly support your argument and I don't see anything to suggest it's anything other than what I've said it is.

It is pretty awesome that I am on the side of defending one of the few true American dominated art forms against two guys like JORR and Curious Hair who like to portray themselves as intellectuals.

You've clearly already made up your mind.

I predict that assuming they are willing that many other groups such as Disney, Pixar, Marvel, DC and others will contribute a wide range of exhibits. I can't see the future but I do predict that when it gets built your comment of Star Wars crap, Norman Rockwells, and a couple signed E.T. posters will look silly.

Curious Hair coming off quite elitist here. It's ok to like movies and respect the art behind ones that are well done.

A family of four thoughtfully stands before Jessie, Woody and Buzz in Toy Story 3, perhaps even re-enacting it in front of it like people do with American Gothic.

Just wait until Carl's Jr. and Kuma's sign on to the Kroc-Telegram Sam Museum of the American Hamburger!

Aside: If you are in the town it ends up in are you going to take time out to visit this?

Of course. I love museums of all kinds. I'm not even a huge Star Wars guy.

I've gone to lots of museums that are probably too low brow for people like JORR and Curious Hair.

What the Raiders make in merchandising in those Vegas Raider caps & jackets will make them the richest franchise in sports but wait......

I think George Halas set up the NFL that all merchandising get's split evenly amongst the teams. Maybe that's why they get the OK to move, too.

I went to the Museum of Broadcast Communications. It's mostly just a bunch of old radios someone found at garage sales. Also, the board of directors had to stage some kind of takeover because it was being run by a pedophile. I do not like the Museum of Broadcast Communications.

If people like football because of gambling then moving to Vegas was a great idea!
