Anyone who doesn't think bigfan is routinely mocked on this board by nearly everyone involved is not leaving the NASCAR forum. This thread has a lot of people who haven't had a nice thing to say about the guy in almost a year backpedaling like crazy, but I'm not fooled.

I never met bigfan in person, but he is the reason why I left the board previously.

What had once been a fun place was turned into an oppressive nightmare based on a seemingly bi-polar dictator. Routine bans for anyone who disagreed with him. Posts and entire threads disappearing simply because someone said something he didn't like. There were constant threats of bannings. He was acting like a pissy 12 year old girl. It wasn't remotely fun anymore.

I'm not privy to any inside info about how the exchange went down, but based solely on bigfan's behavior on the board, I have no trouble believing that it happened just as the big 3 say.

So, props for starting it, but that doesn't excuse his behavior, which is what gets him shit on.

If you're looking for fast and lean highlights, then I suppose that would be one of them, yes. I believe you can add that his offense was taken, if I recall correctly (and if not, sorry), post-sale and that he had some hair-brained scheme to nuke the whole bored if his orders weren't followed ... thus the backup being put into place somewhat ahead of time completely unbeknownst to him ... and why I, and I suspect a number of others, really thoroughly enjoyed his last few nutwagon threads and terribly veiled threats and whatnot.

Again, as a mean and lean overview, I'll go with 'yes'. I think he may have broached the topic pre-sale and was told nope and he seemed to let it go ... then it reared its ugly head again ... perhaps comingled with some degree of seller's remorse - that part I can understand completely ... going full assbag mode though? Uh, no.

Thankfully though, it was such a well-thought out and completely unpredictable scheme that it was more or less sussed out well before it could ever come to a head and, as such, a number of necessary machinations were attended to as a means to circumnavigate the tomfoolery in the event it came to something like that.
