Even Goldendomer? I wasn't a fan of a lot of the censorship that went on previously, but GD was one where I felt it was absolutely necessary. That may have been the only one though that comes to mind (other than the obvious eastern hemisphere spammers.)

Goldendomer predates me, so I've only heard legend about how bad that was.

I can say with certainty that since we've taken over there have been very few things deleted. I am still curious as to America's contention that "threads are deleted all the time" and he obviously hasn't answered.

Nas and I discussed and then deleted some very personal and nasty things about Goff that were inappropriate and uncalled for. I did delete a Danny B post where he made it appear I said something I didn't. I somewhat regret that since in retrospect it was probably obvious parody. But I was annoyed at being followed around and having my viewpoints constantly mischaracterized.

I and I believe Dolphin were the only ones against that. I saw what could come from it. Next came the 2 hour bans that all but a couple people were against and then came the daily bans that people weren't against. Even the longer bans didn't seem to bother MANY until they got banned or someone they liked got banned. From my experience very few people can be trusted not to abuse their power.

I don't remember anything deleted. I know some topics were merged from time to time when 10 people create the same thread. I actually applaud that. Bigfan might have been the worst offender of this.

Most of the good boards I know of use a very strict list of terms that will get you a temp or permanent ban. Some even have a board of some sorts to hash that out. Your statement is correct.
