Quote:
Schefter, who primarily tweets and talks, has taken the time to write up an article with strong, opinionated quotes from someone who currently isn’t the in NFL in a coaching, scouting, playing, or media capacity. It’s fair to ask why.

This doesn’t fit with Schefter’s usual role of generating information, mainly transactional, on a neverending basis. (And he does that better than anyone at this point.) It’s a hard right turn for him, and it’s hard not to wonder whether this is Schefter’s way of showcasing an opinion contrary to the “Garrett is No. 1” viewpoint as a favor to someone in the Cleveland front office who is trying to push back against Garrett being Cleveland’s first overall pick.

Consider this portion of the article: “Still, Garrett is considered the favorite to go No. 1 to the Cleveland Browns, who used the No. 1 overall pick in the 2000 draft on Penn State defensive end Courtney Brown. ‘I don’t think this kid is as good as Courtney Brown either,’ Sapp said.” That feels like a stern warning to whoever will be breaking the tie in Cleveland regarding the potential pitfall of using the No. 1 overall pick on Garrett.

FavreFan publicly humiliated, again, on this forum. Sometimes, he just needs to learn how to fold.

That doesn't disprove what I'm saying at all. Jesus you're bad at this.

Bob, let's just end this with a bet between you and FF. The winner can gloat. Because you're spiking the football, but I can't even tell if you crossed the goal line. We need something objective to show you have defeated the mighty FF.

Double D, I feel I have taken Rosemary Favre-Kennedy being the woodshed enough. I don't want to humiliate him anymore. It's really a minor subject to begin with, let's all move on.

I have a record of paying and receiving payments on bets on here. Caller Bob is just an internet troll who probably can't be trusted since he's a dipshit and writes like a 12 year old. I would need any money wagered between us sent to a third party beforehand to verify he's trustworthy.

That said, I'd be happy to make a wager on the entire NFL this year. It worked out for me well last year.

You've literally never won a sports argument of any kind on this board. It's almost sad that you don't realize everyone is laughing at you and mocking you with the Caller Bob era stuff.

Rosemary Favre-Kennedy that's just not true. Just a page ago you said said NFL GM's don't pay attention to anything, reliable NFL reporters say/tweet. I posted a link to the contrary, which you agreed with. Not just with me, but others, you repeatedly take these hard line opinions, and then when you are proven wrong, and look like an asshole, you try and backtrack which is even more sad. That's why I say, just learn to fold son. Learn to fold.

I can't tell if you're a liar or just dumb. I'm leaning towards the latter.

Bob is all bark and no bite. He's too much of a pussy to make a bet with me on the NFL. He knows he stepped out of his comfort zone of quoting Fangraphs.

I cited numbers from Fan graphs, that were 100% accurate. If you really dispute those numbers, it means you and flapjacks are illiterate. (Sage bet). At least JoeOrr reasoned the two different metric sites.

We'll add "illiterate" to the growing list of words and phrases you use incorrectly.

Take it to the PMs, you fags.

I came in here to learn about potential Bears draft picks and now I'm leaving with a headache.

Jonathan Allen is the only potential pick I think they can make that's worthy of criticism.

I really hope you're kidding regarding Watson, Seacrest. I can't be sure.

Number 52 (second round)

The Browns get 2 of the top 3 players in this years draft essentially and it might help their ticket sales.

The Bears would move down but then have 3 total 2nd round draft picks.

I think Ive been playing too much madden.

Let the record show that I had this idea back in March.

This is pretty much how I feel as well. There are several picks here that will be just fine.

Hooker or Adams in the 1st would be my choice.

I agree with this. I'm thinking they are going to draft Adams and Peterman for the QB pick.

Cleveland is trying to acquire draft picks, not trade them. They have baseball guys running that team.

I undetstand but everything I have read over the last few weeks is that Cleveland is desperate to get back in the early picks and pick up a qb.

I feel the Bears are going after a QB. You don't get too many chances to draft 3rd.
Or maybe they stock up at RB if Forsett is still there.

Either way,the 3rd pick must be a high impact position, not CB or S which you can hunt for later.

Drafting third isn't by chance though. It's a matter of suck and that is something I think the Bears can excel at.

CB is a relatively high impact position. Safety is not as much. This leads me to change my belief that Lattimore will be the pick.

as a man stuck in 1985 it seems so weird having the #3 pick and taking a cornerback. unless the guy is gonna be deion sanders.

If one of those DE falls, that has to be the pick, otherwise I think Adams should be the pick.

I don't think they should get too hung up on where a player is chosen. If a guy winds up being a great player for your team for 10 years what difference does it make if he was taken at third, ninth, or twelfth?
