A QB who won't play and a D2 TE......it doesn't matter at this point. Pace isn't going anywhere so who cares. Now we can look forward to the playmakers in the 4th round and later.

Jordan Howard, a 5th round pick, would've been OROY last year if it weren't for the Cowboys duo.

That's part of the process. The Bears are a project...they are not Super Bowl contenders next year. They have to take some of these chances...it's all a risk. Rarely are there "sure things" in the draft. If the QB can play....a lot of other pieces will fall into place. If he can't....well, they've been sucking anyway....they'll just suck for a few more years.

Ryan Pace has done extremely well with 2nd round picks so far. Really, the best two players he has drafted from are Goldman (I just wish he could stay healthy) and Whitehair. You can hate the (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky pick for all the stupid reasons you want, but Pace has earned the benefit of the doubt in the 2nd round.

I've yet to hear an intelligent reason to hate the (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky pick. There are many smart reasons to be unsure about it, but no smart reasons to declare being "done with the Bears" before the guy ever takes a snap.

I agree with your last sentence but there are plenty of intelligent reasons to dislike the pick. It was a huge risk.

The Bears really needed to take this kind of risk. I just dont see how Solomon Thomas or Jamal Adams really move the needle that much unless they are Hall of Fame caliber guys. As bad as people say the Bears are they really dont pick in the top 3 very often, this was their chance to grab the top QB without selling the farm to do so and they seized it. There will be plenty of good defensive backs in next year's draft and some of the guys they have now, Deiondre Hall in particular, have a lot of room for growth this coming season.
