I was listening to S&W today and didn't hear them at the top or bottom of the hour.

I think a lot of sports stations will go this route to save money. Everybody has all the info on their phones.

Updates do seem to be pretty useless at this point. Especially when goofs like Drinky or Julie are editorializing during them.

Updates are useless to the listener and only serve the purpose of giving your hosts a break and give a chance to do an ad read.

Espn1000 does longer segments too. Waddle and silvy talked for 44 minutes straight without commercial in one segment. The score would never do that and at least get rid of bottom of hour update. Don't need scores or times. I have a iPhone for that.
