16. Damn I wish he was born 2 days later.

6'1" 220 with 35" arms, 2xl hands and can bench 225 12 times. After a workout last week.

Now if only his mother had worked with me on his homework...

I think he has 2 more growth spurts if he follows the family history

My two cents is that kids are just bigger these days. I can't believe how many kids I see that are materially bigger than their dad. I saw a pic of PM's kid, and that looks to be the case. My son is 6 ft 230 at 15, and I am 5'8" 165. He is wearing size 14 shoes.

You know who did something similar in the last four games of the 1967 season? Yaz.

Actually, Yaz was 10 for 14 against Cleveland and Minnesota after we got shitfaced on the redeye from Baltimore to Boston. Jerry Adair puked in the pocket of my Nehru jacket.

Little Crest only had Coke on the flight back from the coast.

Youngest RR just got finished working out with a DE who was a 1st round draft pick/all SEC player who mentioned that my boy is ahead of where has was going into his redshirt year.

Then taught him 3 moves

Nice. I wanna see him play.

Board outing at Gately Stadium.

I want to try and remember the time that I got hit so hard on a kick off they tell me I went to the wrong sideline after I staggered to my feet.

The last game my boy played there, a kid kept clipping him. So my son warned him, pancaked him. And kicked him in the head.

Old school football. I was pissed until he told me that he'd kept warning him

Cool. Mine is 6foot 200 or so depending if he's running a lot for track. I love to watch him play.

That's the killer for me. I too ran track, but only this year have either of my sons shown a semblance of foot speed.

Mine is quick and has good forty times. His long legs though make him start slower. So he does better at 200m than 100m. At football camps they time him 4.6 in 40.

If he's anywhere near, we need an outing

I'll drive to Pittsburgh.

You have to promise not to complain about my driving or about how old you feel.

A lot of tall mailmen. My oldest son is going to be lucky to reach 5'7" unless he leaps past his growth curve and my youngest daughter is about 5'7" and she just made 12.

I went to Gately last year for a game. My memories of it growing up were that it resembled a pro stadium. It seems kind of standard today.

The Wolves has a football team when you attended?

No. They barely have one now.

I get around.

We won the unification belt this weekend sweeping the playoff tournament. We beat a pretty good professional team twice to seal things.

Nice season.

Its a downer that tryouts for next year are this week.

I really haven't. The areas most affected are not areas we have/had projects in.

I sort of know that feeling. Luckily, my son only had bone chips in his knee, so that's a minor arthroscopic surgery. But it was four months of recovery and rehab before he could resume baseball activities.

Best wishes with that.

I struck out 12 Special Olympic kids in slow-pitch softball yesterday in 4 innings. The pitcher of the team I coach got hurt in the top of the first and we already were down a player so I mowed them down with ruthless aggression. By ruthless aggression I mean I threw strikes, which was good because we were completely overmatched and got no outs in the field and lost like 12-2.

We have one other athlete that can kind of pitch if he can move up closer, but when the other team can actually hit the ball it's too dangerous to leave him up there. It makes SO softball scheduling difficult because in sports like Volleyball and Basketball you can play better teams, and while you'll get crushed there isn't really a greater risk of getting hurt. In softball you're risking people taking it off the dome if you're playing up a division.
