I don't see how they are any worse than 46-36. We've seen countless examples of guys like Butler adding 15-20 wins when going to a new team. If you look at the 2010 Cavs and 2011 Cavs LeBron was worth about 40 wins.

It's not just Butler, it's the growth of the surrounding players plus a second year of being in Thibs' system. Astronomic jumps in record aren't out of the question with Thibs- he took a 40 something team coached by VDN and turned it into a well-oiled 60+ win team the next year. LTG probably thinks to turnaround is due to Rondo even though he was in Boston.

I'm really intrigued with how Thibs is going to spend all the money they have in free agency. He needs a new bench. Maybe he can construct bench mob 2.0

It's mainly about Butler and Towns. Wiggins is ok but very overrated. Rubio is a little below average and the rest of the team blows.

It's Very Sad! seeing Nas rip on Jimmy Butler.

Shouldn't two Rags to Riches guys like Nas and Butler have each other's backs?

I think their ceiling is 44-38. Real top 5 kind of guys make that difference. Paul with the Clippers. Melo as a rookie. Not Butler. Thibs will eke out a few more, regular season wins by burning out the starters in some games but I still think 44 will be the max for them. Lavine was a 19 point scorer for them. Butler isn't going to score much more than that.

He will help tremendously on defense. They now have 2 good defenders in their starting lineup.

I think Wiggins is going to massively benefit from being able to play at the two full time now.

I agree. I think he wasn't physical enough to guard 3's full time. His lateral movement and length should benefit him tremendously on defense. He also will be a matchup problem for 2's.

His biggest problem might be ball handling and turnovers.

Read this on a bulls social media group, but do not see anything on Wojos twitter about it. Anyone else heard anything else about this?

The Lakers are interested in trading for Dwyane Wade as part of their pitch to Lebron James next summer, per Adrian Wojnarowski.

If that's true then LA fans should contract the fire GarPax billboard guy to construct a fire magic billboard in LA.

The Los Angeles Lakers are almost set for the 2017-2018 season, hoping to sign one or two more free agents on low-end contracts to round out their roster. Everything is lined up for the summer of 2018 to be the Lakers’ big offseason push, with cap space to spare and their eyes set on landing LeBron James.

The Lakers have had LeBron in their sights since the moment Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka settled into their roles as leaders of the franchise, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. That’s one of the reasons the team immediately shifted to signing Kentavious Caldwell-Pope once he hit the open market, hoping to start warming up to agent Rich Paul who represents both Caldwell-Pope and James.

“From the moment Detroit renounced Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, the moment I reported they renounced him and he was now an unrestricted free agent, the Lakers were already on that,” Wojnarowski told Rachel Nichols on The Jump.

“This is all part of the greater LeBron conversation, and the Lakers are going to be, just like they're in full Paul George mode from now until July 1 next year, the LeBron has started. And it started the day they took over,” Wojnarowski said.

Los Angeles is considering all angles when it comes to courting LeBron next summer, and Wojnarowski intimated that the Lakers had legitimate interest in finding a way to end up with Dwyane Wade this summer following the Jimmy Butler trade as a boost to their future chances with James.

“After Dwyane Wade opted back into his contract for this year and then Jimmy Butler got traded, and Dwyane was trying to figure out are we going to go forward together here in Chicago...

“The Lakers had interest if Chicago was A) willing to potentially trade him or if Dwyane got a buyout in Chicago, the Lakers absolutely would've had interest in signing him,” Wojnarowski said.

LA is in position to sign multiple players to max contracts next summer and have young talent they’re hoping proves to be attractive when the next free agency period begins. The Lakers have been busy this summer, while James is reportedly “frustrated” with how the Cleveland Cavaliers’ offseason has gone.

We haven’t come anywhere close to the end LeBron-to-the-Lakers rumors filling the sky with smoke. The trick will be waiting to see how big the fire is once the summer of 2018 arrives.

Yeah Lebron will be looking for the retirement contract when he goes to the Lakers. He is not winning shit out west and he knows it.

Maybe they can trade Wade to Cleveland.

His signing was the biggest indication that GarPax had no coherent plan.

I took it as an investment that would get super stars to join the Bulls.

Wade and Rondo signings accomplished what they were intended to accomplish. 1. Make the playoffs 2. lose in the first round 3. trade Butler and 4. Rebuild

Don't trust GarPax to lead the rebuild but I had no problems with any of the moves they made last summer.

They had to assess the team with Butler as the franchise guy. They did that and realized this particular model wasn't good enough and thus they moved on

At this point (and well before this point) I just accept no star free agents will ever sign for the Bulls. Any management team that expects any part of a rebuild to include one should be immediately dismissed. I mean they can try and all that, but at some point they have to realize it's fool's gold.

Exactly, KD. No stud free agent will come here unless the money is head and shoulders above what anyone else can offer.

The Bulls won't get a top notch free agent until they have a quality team first. No player is going to take substantially less money to play with bums. Free agents that bolt aren't about to leave a crappy team and sign with another crappy team.

Best shot the Bulls have is to try and build through the draft.
