Kap showed why he is the Jimmy Fallon of sports interviewers. It was a painful listen as he constantly brought up his background as a college coach. To top it off, when he went into the "whip your ass" stuff, it was embarrassing and not even funny. He tried to butter him up with compliments on how good of a father he is and things like that and then tried to zing him with a "hard hitting question." There was so much you could ask him and just let him expose himself for the idiot he is. Kap fell into Ball's trap and tried to go toe-to-toe with him. In the process, he went to his level instead of trying to remain professional and come back at some of his comments with fact. For instance, Ball said Dick Vitale does nothing in regards to teaching youth basketball players, and Kap let that go. There was absolutely nothing new to this interview and went down a path of total silliness.
