Somebody can probably answer this. Thanks in advance.

I am going from Direct TV which I HATE to Playstaytion VUE in a couple months. I am going to get a 2nd TV. So my question is how will the streaming picture compare to the HD feed I am getting now? Is it worth it to get a big 4K TV if I am only going to be streaming?

I don't watch DVDs or do any king of gaming.

My one experience with Playstation Vue at Douchebag's house was underwhelming. It was streaming at like 20 FPS.

Vue broadcasts up to 1080P. Eventually everything will probably go 4k, but I think we're a number of years from getting there.

All depends on your internet quality.

Stuff like live sports can be a little "off" at times if you don't have the internet speed to support it.

But I think we were actually watching the Cubs game over an antenna and not vue.

The Bulls game was the one at 20 FPS. I think I remember the Cubs game looking fine.

Hard to remember, I was too busy playing with my godson.

So if I get a 4K I would be paying for technology I am not using?

Yes, as it relates to TV broadcasts.

Does any cable or satellite provider broadcast in 4K? No, right?

I think it is just streaming services like Netflix and UHD Blu-Ray.

I had PSVue on my 65" Sony and couldn't tell the difference from regular cable. My son also has it now and likes it. They offer you a lot of stations but the jumping on point of 40 bucks seemed steep. I just kept my WOW service which I very seldom have issues with.

I personally love Vue, but it doesn't stream in 4k yet. With that said, if you watch Netflix it's worth it to get 4k as Netflix streams in 4k and now shoots its original shows (which is an quickly growing library) in 4k.

Thanks fellas.

For you guys with Vue, how does the DVR work? I know recordings only last 30 days or so but does it function like DVR with cable?
