Typical pittmike bullshit.

You are welcome. Let me know how else I may help. What is BS is to deny that Cub fans years ago in separate instances clamored for the current available miracle manager. Dusty and Pinella at the time were must have. They were their latest and greatest hopes. When they failed they were blamed and ran out of town as well as were ridiculed as clowns.

Now after even winning a WS the similar stirrings are beginning under Maddon's seat. A seat getting hotter by the day.

Dusty wasn't the same after 2003. He was shellshocked. He lost that swagger he came here with.

That describes literally every fanbase in sports. You just apply any negative sports fan tropes to Cub fans specifically.

Sorry I really do think the pre WS Cub fan base was more desperate and this aspect was more exaggerated.

No managers matter, that much.

Finally batting Bryant where he should be. It only took 3/4 of the season.

It only took a 15-16 stretch for him to get the hint.

Bryant batting 2nd would be fine if they didnt have a historically bad performance by the lead off guy.

Sorry, but no. Still not maximizing his RBI potential that way. If this were an American League team I would agree, but Joe has been a stubborn egotistical asshole most of this season.

Don't defend the guy, RPB. Maddon has a had a bad year. It happens.

Im not defending Maddon. Im defending having your best hitter bat 2nd which is usually the right place for them.

He batted there half the year last season and 102 RBI's

Didn't they also bat the pitcher 8th most of last season, and plug in Baez or Russell at the 9 spot?

I'm saying this lineup is different, and Joe did not adjust until the middle of August.

That's awful managing. Too much hubris for me.

Not finding a lead off guy until late July also hurt this team no doubt. I def agree with you there RPB.

My original statement stands. If they had Dexter Fowler 2016 there, it would be fine.

Im in the managers barely matter camp anyway.

It wouldn't be that fine. Zobrist, Schwarber, and a mia Russell are hurting this lineup. Dex hasn't had that good of year, right?

I think managers matter a little bit more than most people give them credit for.

I did specify 2016 Dex Fowler. There is an argument. I just believe the best hitter batting 2nd makes sense in the current climate.
