Eloy is a lock to be a stud. He was signed by the best scouting department in all of baseball.

And then given away for a losing pitcher.

But if the Sox ruin Eloy's development from here on out(reasonable odds) then it won't be such a black eye on Theo and Jed's resume.

There are MANY black eyes on Theo's resume. Carl Crawford, Adrian Gonzalez, the first 3 years he ran the Cubs.

The White Sox would have to actively make Eloy Jimenez bad in order for him to fail.

Since the middle of July, through 6 starts and 41 innings, Kopech has a 0.66 ERA and 1.55 FIP, 11.85 K/9, 1.54 BB/9, 0.22 HR/9 and a 0.680 WHIP.

I am not for pushing these guys along too quickly, but there is no reason that Pelfrey or Holland need to make another start for this team. Those two guys would get outpitched by John Danks at this point. Kopech, Dunning, Giolito, Hansen....whoever. At least they can get 5 or 6 starts worth of MLB experience under their belts.

Outside of Giolito, this is a horrible idea. Why potentially F with their heads when things are going so well for those 4?

Yea, he's probably the worst GM to ever win 3 Titles.

Don't know why the first three years would be a black eye. He basically said what he was going to do and then executed it pretty much flawlessly. If anything, the biggest black eye he has with the Cubs is the present season.

I think they have Collins penciled in as their catcher of the future.

High A ball for both? I'd like to see em up at AA or AAA now, both of em should be on the roster opening day in April.

Meh. Gives him the chance to finish the season as the everyday guy.

They want to make some noise in 2018

Dh Delmonico
1b Abreu
2b Moncada
Ss Anderson
3b Moustakas
Rf Jimenez
Cf Leury
Lf Avi

Rodon/Giolito/Lopez/Kopech

Bullpen will be a problem, but that's an awesome and fun as fuck roster.

Me likes it. If you can play you can play. Take your lumps and by 19 no later than 20 should be right back in the mix. If these guys are as good as projected they will figure it out.

My guy tells me no premium free agents next year. Maybe an innings eating starter. They may have a shot at Machado as a free agent after next year. The big spending teams are pretty much set at 3B.

Figured as much. If Eloy continues to tear it up, he might be up with Kopech next year early.

Fulmer to start Monday in game 2 against the Twins.

That DH could be all kinds of ugly.
