I'm sorry...what is your point? Are you upset that Lakemoorfest is no longer the sole place where board members can hang out / shoot the shit? That you're not always in the know about the latest gossip?
Dude, some of us like hanging out with each other. We talk about anything and everything. I didn't know we were supposed to only communicate via the board and only when you're around.
Am i upset about it? No. I'm glad the lakemoorfest deal is finished.
I never was in on the "gossip". I really don't care for the gossip. The gossip was one of several things that made me want nothing to do with lakemoorfest. It was a perfectly clear sign that my thinking of ending it was the right thing to do.
Hang out where you want to with whomever you choose. Good for you man you're the most popular thing at csfmb. You've the league leader in mentions. Take a bow.
In fact to be perfectly fair yeah we decided in December of last year we were going to be done with lakemoorfest. We had a Christmas dinner with a couple friends and it was discussed. One suggestion from two of them specifically was to just sit on it for a while and think about it because for many years, it really was a lot of fun. And so we did. And we really weren't 100% on what we wanted to do but honestly we 99.5%.
But the gossip was indeed the final straw... It was probably just a day or two after chus left and the gossip surrounding it that I said fuck this noise and when I had a minute I posted confirmation. He was treated in a manner that was shocking. Some of you are downplaying it like it was all just jokes but some of that shit was pretty mean spirited and directly intended to be mean spirited to him. You guys were goading each other to take the next shot. People that were supposed to be his friends had things to say.
So no. I'm not upset that I'm not in on the latest gossip. I'm not sad that lakemoorfest is the "sole place" people gather (lakemoorfest was a tiny percentage of the total board events over the last 10 years).
I'll admit to being sad that something where many great stories started and good times were had is coming to an end.
