OK, long drawn out arguement of whetheri take long or not to get to Wrigley from Jessies House in Northbrook might not be the best topic, but it is semi sport related (Something Anne never figured out) and Jessie tried a hard as hecould to stand up to Mike regarding his point of view (Get what I am saying Fred?)

Had potential to do soemthing-

Believe it or not, I agree. Its just great to hear some kind of argument from a co-host, not the usual "yeah you're right".

Actually I thought Jessie fell into the same trap as Annie - he had a valid argument, but couldn't make a cogent point with Pappy constantly interrupting him with non sequiturs.

I noticed this too, it was nice to see someone standing up against North, usually he berates them into submission or chasing strawmen.

However, it still didn't make for good radio. It was like Jesse was arguing with a brick wall (the substance Mike's head is made of as well).

North: "It's not easy, ya gotta stop da car, turn da key off, get outta da car, go to da train, get on da train" as if each step in that process was some monumental hassle.

Apparently he can yell louder though, so he wins the argument.

The argument is stupid. It's tougher for people in the Northern suburbs to drive to Wrigley than it is the Cell. Plus, the train stops at the cell just like it does Wrigley. Ok, so you have to walk 3 blocks instead of being dropped off in front of the park. So what?

Plus, there are plenty of Cubs fans in the South suburbs. It's a myth that the fans are divided by South and North. Cubs fans that live on the south side or the south suburbs. Those fans will have a much easier time.

I don't know why you would drive to Wrigley, period. I live in the western suburbs and have been to maybe 25 cubs games in my life and I don't think I've ever driven. I wouldn't even know where to park.

I can see if you're taking someone that's over 80 or under 4. What percentage of game attendance is that?

Yes, we know the basis of the argument was stupid, but at least it is Chicago sports relavant and didn't have me callng DCFS because Annies 5 years old kid was ordering the nipple fun pack at McTittys!

No doubt Jess is not the sharp knife the drawer, but if you do listen to him, he actually lets callers talk and he acknowledges those who have a point.
