Who is worse - Ozzie Guillen, Jr., or Andy Fucking Garcia? Right now, I'm not sure. Didn't think much could be worse than AFG, but Guillen is close.

re: ozzie jr's voice, i wonder if that's just a product of growing up hearing ozzie sr. speak? if not, yeah, he's kind of the latin tom waits.

i don't think he's that bad. maybe it's cause we're close in age, but i think he's a funny dude and enjoy his appearances with rongey, drinky, and jason.

Oz Jr. is OK and I can get used to his voice. He's a little stiff. Specifically he tries to act like a know it all, a little bit Laurence Holmes-esque and it comes across. I sense that it's not a combative know-it-allery akin to Laurence's though. He seems to feel obligated to be knowledgeable. I believe (oe I bowlive as Oz Sr would say) if he loosens up a bit and gets paired with, now pretty savvy, Goff we might have a pretty pretty good local show on our hands.

He wasnt bad. I was driving home from Indiana and caught most of it, I have heard worse then JR, he just needs more time, the guy had good insight to the baseball talk I thought.

That is really odd Rodeo. I was driving to Indiana and heard most of it. I absolutely hated Oz Jr.

That was a great half an hour spent on Ozzie's fine head of hair. Riveting. I was embarrassed for drinky.

GD, it wasnt the best radio I have ever heard, but I have heard worse. Joe Cain, Jesse Rogers, Norm Van Lier and a few other I must have forgot, which is a good thing. To each their own I guess, because I just didnt think it was awful. I do agree that Matt had to pretty much carry the show and no way is JR someone I want to hear 5 days a week, but he held his own, but feel free to disagree with me.

The Bear and the Bull was bad. Joe Cain set radio back 10 years with his one late night solo show and Jesse Rogers make my ears bleed, Ozzie wasnt awful, maybe he was trying to hard and it came off bad, but I would listen again if he was paired with a matt or jason.

Jason needs to be solo.

I didn't hear it but I'v hear Jr. before. He is brutal. It's part of the White Sox deal. It's probably not in any contract but Mitch is throwing the kid a bone to keep his White Sox partners happy.

Drinky, you probably liked it. You look like a HOF broadcaster with a guy like that next to you.

How lucky is this kid? He gets to hang in the dugout under the guise of translator. He gets to drink with the players on the road. He probably gets a lot of women. That should be enough. Why must he get radio shows too?

Ozzie Jr. calls his dad, ozzie sr., Ozzie sr. calls Jerry, Jerry calls Mitch, Mitch gets scared and agrees to give Ozzie jr. a job.

Jerry runs the station when it comes to the white sox, he just does it through Mitch, anyone with a unbias opinion can see it.

Obviously he is on the air because of the Score's partnership with the Sox. That goes without saying. Is there any way the Score would hire him otherwise. If he applied on his own with no connection to Ozzie would they hire him? Of course not.

I wasn't driving to or from Indiana this past weekend. I didn't listen to Ozzie Jr. either.

However, I was thinking about driving to Indiana while also thinking about how bad Ozzie Jr. is at radio. It really is a small world.

I don't why I think this is so funny, but I am LMAO at the thought of you driving home after a late night through the dairlyland on the 94 thinking, "man I'm tired, i wonder if I can rub one out right quick while driving, and abbatacola sucks"...
