Thumbs down to the webcast. I was listening online and it went down at 3:30 and hasnt worked for me since then. I didnt hear it read, my buddy Doug(not from EP) had to call me and tell me it was read on the show. Jurk and Harry got all riled up?

Yes because the questions that you said were really bad came from Jurko and Harry, not Mac.
On an unrelated note the awful music is back when they break for commercial

Yeah, I'm listening on the webcast and have been all day.

Basically, there defense was that those were the 9th and 10th questions they asked and they were joking around because the interview wasn't going anywhere. The other questions they asked were more difficult.

Mac also said that he wasn't the one that asked those questions so the complaint shouldn't be levied at just him.

I heard the whole interview. If they would categorize questions 1-8 as tough, then I can see why they think Levine asks tough questions. They never went after him with even 1/10th the amount of irritance they displayed before and after the interview when he wasnt on the air to defend himself. Im of the belief that if you have something to say to someone, tell them to their face.

i didn't understand why mac felt the need to sidestep the complaint by throwing jurko and harry under the bus after he had initially taken responsibility for being soft with duhon.

Ouch. Mac opens the 5:00 hour multiple times referring to me as FavreFan Mark. I emailed as Matt. He did basically agree though that they were too soft. Harry was an idiot as usual saying they were as tough as could possible be, saying they gave him a bloody beating during the first few questions.

this was the only segment i got to listen to today. i didn't hear the interview but from the sound of it, it was another typical ESPN AM1000 interview in which the hosts weren't comfortable confronting an athlete that they're comfortable flaming off the air.

here's what i'd stress to MJ&H with interviews like that: make it about them, not about you. Probe him with questions you've been asking, be honest, but remember that he's also making a public appearance and he should be held accountable for what he says. he doesn't want to make himself look bad, and you don't want to make him look bad. but sometimes you can make him out to be exactly what he is by asking the right questions, and if he comes off looking bad, it's not because you were "bullying" him. Let him know that part of the reason why you're having him on is to ask questions about the team and what he thinks he means to the team.

Typically MJ&H don't fall into this hole but sometimes they do, and it's good that you guys are calling them out. One thing about Mac is he's very receptive to criticism.

Because he knows he dropped the ball and is to much of a pussy to take the heat alone. Typical Mac, talk big, then back off when called out on it. He is starting to remind me of Boers, talk big until the person is either in studio or on the phone, then back off and act like the gutless jackass he is.

I honestly thought the interview was going nowhere from the beginning. I laughed a bit as Mac's parenting skills took over and he asked "do you want to apologize to anyone"?

Duhon had no remorse being a tool to the organization and showed the fans, the coaches and the Bulls management no respect and if you guys feel that MJH showed no respect in return than I applaud them.

I love the fact the Hawks are becoming the darlings of chicago Winters and could care-less about the Bulls. Take a trip to HAPPY TOWN (WOO-WOO)and get on that Hawks bandwagon and screw basketball.

what about your red wings?

i agree ed, i'm a flyers fan but i've always had a sentimental spot for the blackhawks. i've enjoyed watching them this year, and they've sparked my interest more than my flyers have (they're up, they're down, they're up, they're down...). it'd be great for chicago if the blackhawks could keep this going and bring hockey back.

I agree. Out of the three of them he was the only one owning it. I think Harry actually believes he asked Chris tough questions.

Unfortunately the Hawks' season has been very similar; up, down, up, down. But the arrow is clearly pointing up, arguably more so than any other team in this town. Playoffs are a stretch this year, but hopefully they can at least keep putting up some W's and keep it interesting the rest of the way.

I'm sure Cheli and the rest of the Wings will be crushed when I tell them I'm coming home to be a Hawks fan once again. A ton of Chicago connections on the Wings with two home town boys in Cheli and Lebda and about 4 ex-Blackhawks chasing the Cup on the Wings as well. Its easy to root for that group and Cheli hopes to come back to Chicago when he's done and do something with the Hawks in a management capacity.

I'll cheer on the Wings during the playoffs as it looks like the Hawks are just dead tired with all the kids playing this long for the first time but its been a rebirth for old time Hawks fans like me and a ton of new guys here checking into the Hawks thread that's been buzzing over the past few weeks and a whole new opportunity for young fans to be turned on to the Blackhawks for seemingly the first time ever.

Franky, my vision of you is of a typical chicago meatball sports fan, so I was off on that one, maybe. I only have on username these days, nWo4Life has been laid to rest, so I am not sure were you come up with "umpteen" usernames. I think you need to relax, I heavy set guy you shouldnt get so excited.
