It is a workmanlike 6.5. It doesn't really give you the English hate you like to see in a good Scottish film.

However, Tim Roth delivers an Oscar level performance in creating one of the most detestable villain in the history of film. I loved his work in the film so much that to this day I want to punch him in the nose.
