He didn't say that, but he is aggravating Rosenbloom so much by telling him that he hasn't seen Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, or The Wire that he might as well have said that.

I haven't listened in a while...is it my imagination or are there more drops today than usual?

I haven't seen any of those shows either. But unlike Dan, I do watch a few TV shows. Just not those.

By the time you hear something is good, you just don't have the time want when you're already into current shows.

I actually did watch the first 2 episodes of season 1 of the wire and didn't know what people were talking about. So I gave up. I'm sure it got better. But I wasn't gonna do all 10 seasons or whatever it was.

I haven't seen Game of thrones either. That's one I might try to catch up on.

I only watched a few minutes of Breaking Bad and never saw a minute of the others. I am sure I would love those shows based on what others have said, but it is a huge commitment to get into any series.

It really is amazing how many great shows there have been over the last decade or so. I've missed 80% of them.

That is probably one of the reasons the movie industry is dying. Nobody goes to the theater anymore because there is enough good stuff on TV. At least it's dying at the theater I should say. People still buy it when it comes on TV. Or wait until it's free. Plus with HD 70 inch screens, you don't need the movie going experience as much as you once did.

Dan has time to watch all those silly movies but not the greatest television ever.

It was great to hear Bernstein again.

This is the only situation in which I will listen to Rosenbloom. He and (usually) Rozner are about the only two who will call Dan on his BS and not get much pushback from Dan. He pretty much takes it and doesn't put up much of a fight or if he does pursue it plays it off like a joke. Spiegel has tried to confront Dan on several occasions and it almost always backfires on him. He stews about something all day, tries to confront Dan, gets flustered, Dan dispenses with him without incident and doesn't change his stance.

True about Spiegel.

Goff is scared to death of Bernstein. He'll make fun of him. Sure. But it's all silly bullshit. Goff never really takes him up on issues. He's scared that Bernstein will beat him down in an argument. Plus he want his approval so he'll never challenge him. Bernstein is a God to Goff. It's weird, but true.

Good points. I thought the show was excellent. Bernstein and Rosenbloom traded thoughts and neither went into 30 second rambling explanations.

When I still listened I also thought Dan "behaved" better and did better shoes with Rozner and Rosie. Maybe he has a higher respect level for them for some reason like they are journalists?

Yep. The greatness is in series TV now. Movies suck (by comparison)

I don't think most people have 70 inch screens. Home streaming has had an effect on the movie industry, cable industry as well as the selling of DVDs. We're living in the future Blockbuster was replaced by a Red Box and it's questionable how long Red Box will last.

Rosie works well with Dan. They'll never do this but Jason should be a third wheel in the show, get it back to being fun again by upping the drops, letting Dan argue with Rosie and vice versa and chiming in as he did with the old show. It would be really good.

Rosenbloom makes Bernstein seem like a ray of optimism.

I'm not sure why Rosenbloom feels that the Bears would be lying to Glennon, and this would impact chances at signing free agents if they benched him based on his lack of performance. In the same breath, he seems to agree with Bernstein that the players know who the better QB is, although Rich Campbell disputed both of these claims with his "report" that Glennon has the locker room still.

Very disappointing to hear, yet again, that Bernstein thinks "brown people" are being targeted by the US military and doesn't get any push back as to what he means. Given that Bernstein is a giant scumbag, I'm assuming that to mean that, to him, the US is purposely killing civilians. Also, the world is now burning with Donald Trump as President (shockingly, the world was fine prior) and that Rachel Maddow (to Rosenbloom and probably every other host on the Score) is the place they go to make sense of everything. Explains a lot.

I'm just now about to finish binge watching Breaking Bad. Maybe I'll watch Better Call Saul. Haven't seen The Wire. And I watch a lot of TV.

Yup. People hate Rosenbloom for his cynicism and Rozner for his bad jokes, but both are a good listen with Dan, IMO. When they challenge him (what a novel concept), they don't do it in an awkward way like Spiegel or Goff. They just challenge him like a normal person because they aren't scared of him. It's good to hear.

Are you confused with what I posted? I used to listen but I don't anymore because the show is terrible. When Goff is off or when Bernstein gets a new partner, I will listen again.

When did you stop listening to the show any time Goff was on?

July 11 was when I stopped downloading and listening.

I don't know why I listened as long as I did. I was slowly listening to more and more Spiegel and Parkins anyways. I was driving home on the 11th and caught most of the B&G show. It sucked as usual and I had another PTFB moment so I swore it off completely. Have barely listened to any of the show since then. I often listen to transition and during the occasional short, afternoon drive but that is it. Now I listened to the entire show with Rosenbloom from yesterday and it was excellent.
