Mayweather intentionally dragged out the fight to give the audience something to watch. He didn't even try for like the first 5 rounds. As soon as he did, he pummeled Macgregor like everyone expected.

Nothing more than Mayweather showing that he is as good of a showman as he is a boxer.

He started working in the 4th. After the 1st rd his trainer named that round specifically. "By the 4th you got him"


Not that Conor would have won, but if there was going to be a fluky knockout punch, it would be early. So good strategy to play it safe until McGregor tired out.
