Congrats Matthew Stafford.

Averaging $27mil over 5 years.

Idk if he's ever going to live up to his potential, and I also don't know if Lions' management will ever allow him to.

Good for him tho. Generational wealth.

What are the odds he is still playing 5 years from now? That guy takes some shots.

Pretty much any decent(top 10ish) young QB in the NFL will set this record on their new contract. It's not really that big of deal....the next QB that signs after this will be even more.

He deserves it. He's really good. The Lions are just a bad organization. He lost Calvin Johnson and got better!

No chance in hell he sees all of that money. What are the guarantees in first couple of seasons?

That's his second time hitting the jackpot. He was drafted under the old rookie contract structure. When he retires, he will likely be the highest earning player ever.

His doctor said he needed a urine sample, semen sample, and stool sample, so he brought in a pair of dirty underwear.

They were saying that Rodgers and Brees need to send him a nice gift as they are both up for their next contracts soon.

He's just one playoff win away from tying Jay Cutler in post-season victories!
