Averaging $27mil over 5 years.

Idk if he's ever going to live up to his potential, and I also don't know if Lions' management will ever allow him to.

Good for him tho. Generational wealth.

Pretty much any decent(top 10ish) young QB in the NFL will set this record on their new contract. It's not really that big of deal....the next QB that signs after this will be even more.

That's his second time hitting the jackpot. He was drafted under the old rookie contract structure. When he retires, he will likely be the highest earning player ever.
