From what I can tell there is no set thing they do or dont do. I guess it depends on the mood of the judge that day.

Killer V, that is what I am hoping to try and figure out. Got a few places I will be calling tomorrow morning.

How good of terms are you on with your insurance agent? I've run a few "hypotheticals" past mine before deciding whether or not to file a claim. Maybe ask, hypothetically, how your rates would be adjusted IF your daughter got a ticket...hypothetically....

Speeding 26 to 34 miles per hour over the limit is a Class B Misdemeanor, punishable by up to 180 days in jail and/or up to a $1500 fine.

And what you're not telling everyone is less than 1% of everyone that gets caught doing 26 to 34 above gets hit with either of those.

She'll pay the 20 mph over fine and get supervision. First offense.

Spada trying to milk board members. Very sad.

I'm more bothered by him not actively posting and only showing up to make a dollar. I wouldn't hire him for anything. We have more than enough capable lawyers here who actually add value to the community.

Spada clearly has some sort of social awareness issues. He seems like a piece of shit, too.

Isn't that the definition of most lawyers?

Been a while since I got a speeding ticket. I find it hard to believe this is more of a big deal than pay it teach kid a lesson and move on.

Normal people who hire lawyers generally appreciate their services. People charged with predatory sexual assault of a minor (attempted?) usually don't like the result their (free?) lawyer got for them and become bitter toward the profession as a result.

Most states take a harder stance towards those under 21 getting speeding tickets these days. In Illinois they can lose their license under certain circumstances.

Wow. Didn't realize that. I would have been doomed, and I usually don't drive that fast.

Yeah, it takes a few of them, but it can happen. That's why it's important to avoid that first "strike" if you can.

It's also bizarre considering Spada has bragged about getting Dikta and his loser kid off on multiple DUI's.

You don't need a lawyer to get it reduced to supervision(provided good record). I know this for a fact. Saying you need a lawyer is just false and dishonest. Having a responsible parent going in with her will be enough.

My son was 16 and got in a pretty bad accident that was his fault per the police report. It was probably his fault.

The police told us to go to the mandatory court proceeding (since he was under 18), make sure he was dressed nicely and both parents were there.

We did that. He looked good in his tie and the judge dismissed all charges.

Being that RFDC's daughter is in college, and over 18, the judge should tell RFDC to get fucked and let his daughter handle her own problems.

Actually I learned the hard way that having a daughter over 18 in court that "dad" wasn't allowed to do or say a damn thing.

We didn't say anything. Our son had to answer the questions. The police told us that as well.

We were just there to show he had a support system in place.

I think the judge only asked us who we were.
