Mac, don't even respond to Beardown. He's clearly a fringe lunatic, and by no means represents the "average" listener. Just do you.

Beardown may have orgasmed himself to death reading that Drinky borrowed money from McNeil.

His wife battled depression a few years back. Somebody linked a blog that she wrote.

I mean Mac is gracing us with some truth bombs and thoughts on the station. Are we wrong to ask about other talents still there?

Mac, who would you say HASN'T been affected by that style of all the air-staff still working there? Spiegs still sounds like that same guy (a little less standoff-ish with Bernstein than he has been, maybe losing Goff and then not being consulted on his new partner humbled him with regards to FOTS) he was in '09, but is there anyone else that doesn't sound like a Bernstein clone?

The morning show has not been impacted at all. A solid listen, all about sports.

Mully and Hanley are obviously not.

Actually with Drinky and Conor leaving the Bernstein clone numbers are significantly down.

Hell, Mully, Hanley and Les take up like half of the 24 hour day right?

They aren't your "meat and potatoes" hosts. The Score needs a meatball guy.

They need someone who can and will openly disagree with the popular sentiment from the other hosts. Like I said, Spiegs used to fill that role in the absence of Mac, but I haven't heard him go after Bernsie on anything since the shows shifted into their current arrangement.

M&H are independent voices. They are just boring as hell.

The Score needs a pre 2007 North or an unneutered Hood.

Mac,

When North went solo, why did they break up your show with Boers?

While I'd agree his hostility and often contemptuous disposition isn't an accident it's possible it's a result of being awkward or not well liked in almost every phase and situation in life. Ironically, he doesn't use his best gift - his intelligence - for "good." He uses that to belittle people, especially if they don't agree with him. People want to follow him but he seems like a shitty leader. It makes me question his intelligence or he is fragile and everything about him is some sort of facade? I'd feel bad for him if he didn't come off like such a condescending, colossal, assbag most of the time.

Good Luck. I hope you find peace and joy, now and in the future.

I also disagree with Mac's assessment of Bernstein that he based on knowing him for several years.

Parkins is a really good listen but he's a nerd. Bernstein has that role locked up for the foreseeable future. Spiegel isn't aggressive enough and he doesn't appear to handle conflict well. Goff is happy to be here and still trying to find himself. He's trying to be Jiggs and Bernstein. Holmes is boring as fuck. He's the Greta Van Susteren of the Score. Fire and passion is needed.

He'd know him better than anyone on the board unless someone on this board is related to him or a former co-worker.

Interesting question. I feel like he was giving him the benefit of the doubt on somethings and I don't think it's deserved.
