He dropped his head to ram a receiver who was already being held up by another player.

He's lucky he didn't paralyze Adams.

did what he was trained to do for 25 years. I'm not going to criticize him. has he been penalized for this before?

The crown of the helmet is the issue.

It's a bad hit even if he doesn't get him in the head.

WMVP guys just said the Cubs have now clinched the division twice since the last Bears' road win. No time to fact check that but wow if true.

Didn't win a road game last year. I think they are at 10 road loses in a row now.

NEW RULE: A ban on a ball carrier initiating contact with the crown of his helmet in the open field or by a defender while making a tackle.

What the rule changes: A 15-yard penalty will be called if a runner or a tackler initiates forcible contact by delivering a blow with the top/crown of his helmet against an opponent when both players clearly are outside the tackle box (an area extending from tackle-to-tackle and from 3 yards beyond the line of scrimmage to the offensive team's end line). Incidental contact by the helmet of a runner or a tackler against an opponent would not be deemed a foul.

They might have clinched a Wild Card and two divisions. I know the Bears were 0-8 on the road last year.

That's as bad as when the Blackhawks were winning more games at Soldier Field than the Bears were. You could argue that relative to the rest of the Chicago sports landscape, we're in the darkest age of Bears football.

Close. The Bears last road win was in December 2015 against Lovie's Bucs

It's easy to turn around a football franchise if you hire the right leadership. I think Pace is in over his head. The Bulls on the other hand are in the dark ages. Their most marketable player is a cripple and their GM lives in Chicago but thinks Iowa is the mecca of basketball.

The Bulls are trending downward, but the Thibodeau era was pretty good, as far as NBA success goes. The Trestman/Fox (read: post-Urlacher) era is definitely a low point for the Bears. But as I've said over and over, the last 25 years have been pretty bad for the Bears.

Are we not counting the Sox as a Chicago team? None of the other teams come close to their futility over the past 10 years.

Hey good dolphin and Nas, are we still pretending the Steelers offense is superior to Green Bay's?
