Bob and RPB have pretty high expectations, considering they have him at about 20 yards per attempt.

My numbers include an eighty yard screen pass to Cohen.

Of course both of them are past their prime. Brees is still good though. Ben is not.
I should not have used that phrase. My bad.

My initial reply was to Big Chicagoan, who erroneously stated that their careers were over a couple years ago.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is certainly an upgrade over Glennon.
Still....this team is awful and the WR are even worse. When (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky gets injured, it won't look good.

I'd rather he holds a clipboard until they get some help on the offense.

The offensive line is really good, provided they stay healthy. The worst that will happen is WR's don't get open or fight for the ball so he throws an abhnormant amount of interceptions and that lowers his confidence....that can be prevented by game planning/running the ball.

Say what you will say about Glennon, and it he is indeed a crappy QB...but seems like a good guy and taking this in stride.

 Glennon has 18 million reasons to do whatever the fuck the Bears tell him to do with a smile on his face.

This would be the perfect time to bring up (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky's favorite target: Tanner Gentry, the guy who made Josh Allen look like an NFL prospect.

Exactly. I'm sure Glennon now realizes that he just isn't good at football and he can live comfortably for the rest of his life on the gift of a contract he was given.

True FU money. He shouldn't have a care in the world.

Worst case scenario is that he bounces around as a backup at 1 million per for the next half decade and making another million on interest from the Bear money

Same thing I was thinking. Absolutely robbed the Bears blind and now has no financial worries for the rest of his life. It only takes one team.

I want (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky to be good, but we simply don't know this. Him being a first round pick does not make him automatically better than any QB in the league, even the worst of them, like Glennon. He has to prove it on the field.

Pace will cut him this off-season and then bring him back for 20 million to be the backup.

Yes, especially since the person who thought (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky was good also thought Glennon was good.

I agree 100%. That's my biggest concern.

The way that this team has looked like the 1974 Bears at times, let's start by seeing if (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is better than Bob Avellini. Either the football or the drinking would be acceptable.

It's rare for me to do this -but I'll put it out there now before his 1st game.. I'm on the wagon. This kids quick release, the fact he throws well on the run and seems (just from the pre season anyway) to have good pocket awareness, the athleticism -he just has a lot of real measurables that you can't teach in combination.

I know I'll be held to it, but I think Mitch is going to be a good QB for the beloved. Pace got this one right, I think.

I look forward to being bashed for it if I'm wrong lol. I'll take it.

Cheers

If anyone saw the NCST v. UL game yesterday, they had a bit on how NCST had produced four QBs starting for NFL teams last week. They had to admit that there would be one less starter in Week5.

Hopefully he doesn't tear up a knee on the pathetic Soldier Field grass.
