The entire world will be rooting for the Cubs again this postseason, if for a different reason than last year. It feels so good to know that baseball fans nationwide...worldwide...want to see the Cubs come through once again. Instead of being one of the best teams in the history of baseball like last year...this is a team full of upstarts and grinders. Love it.

I know the Cubs outfield is shit, but I didn't realize that the WAR for the catcher position (3.9) was almost as much as for the entire outfield (5.2).

Regarding the Cubs playoff run...I've never seen Good Dolphin so excited, he can barely sit still or hold a thought in his head. I think it's the excitement only a Sox fan cheering for the Cubs can feel, a fan at the start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain. I hope we can make it to the world series... I hope to see my friend GD and shake his hand. I hope a second World Series title is as beautiful as it has been in my dreams. I hope.

Not to be contrary, I just disagree with that. I believe because of all the crap that Houston has dealt with after the flooding there, a lot of people will be rooting for them. Plus, that middle infield is pretty special.

I agree with the OP's point that last year the baseball world was pulling for the Cubs. But this year it has to be the Indians or Astros. (2 longest WS droughts I think) It looks like they will meet in the ALCS.
