Last night, they said he dropped like 15lbs and felt faster. I know after that 1st cup he was looking fat, so I am hoping this gives him a boost.

Toews looked good again last night. It's so nice to have a first-line center again. Kane, though, I don't know what his deal's been on this trip. Q busted him down to the fourth line. Speaking of, I hope Schmaltz is back soon, because moving Kero out of the fourth line exposes how our forward depth takes a steep drop right at the bottom of the depth chart. I'm sure Q is sensitive about running out a smurf team, but I think I'm just about ready for Hinostroza to replace Bouma or Wingels. Let's hope he lights it up in Rockford and earns his way out.

I didn't know that or notice that about Crawford's weight, but if cutting weight makes him even better, then hey, great.

Oh, I'm sure he'll have something like an eight-game scoring drought somewhere along the line, but I also expect Toews, Keith, and Seabrook to start getting the Marian Hossa Memorial Scratches before fatigue can get too serious. For now, I'm enjoying that he seems to be revitalized with good linemates (though as I've said, it was supposed to be him lifting them).

Kane's problem is he had no Schmaltz. Kane can elevate linemates, but not when he's playing with Hayden and Bouma or Hayden and Anisimov, as he was last night. Hartman got moved off of his line after his god awful turnover led to goal #1. Hayden is a fine bottom sixer, but he's not someone who should be on a line with Kane.

Q said yesterday that Schmaltz should be able to go Thursday.
