Many corporations use travel agents still. The level of service that they provide is incredible. That is why they are still in business and fabulously successful I might add.

I have done consulting work for the family that owns operates Bannockburn. Great people and a pleasure to work with and for.

I don't use one, but would assume those who travel alot, espeically those who travel for business.

I am pretty sure they get somewhat of a discount as well, and then can pass a % of that one to the client.

I prefer to do my Expedia Vegas searches of the mix and match of flight/hotel/car/hooker/meals the basics

I always use a travel agent, they get me great rates and I free up the computer for porn instead of expedia.com

It has nothing to do with discounts actually. Bannockburn has grown and kept clients by providing great customer service and amenities to their corporate clients. Service still sells to discerning buyers. And they have offices in a number of other major cities.

Ive dealt with three travel agents in my life, one of whom is my great aunt. My great aunt booked the wrong room for our honeymoon. The second put me in treasure island the first time I was in vegas, which was a horrible hotel room and very expensive considering I had to deal with the rodeo weekend there (which was never mentioned, oh my god). The third time was for a business trip and I got the nicest room in San Fran you could imagine. So, I guess its hit or miss, right?

Many Sports teams/organizations who do not have charter flights still use Travel Agents. Example, the Chicago Sky(whom I'll be doing Radio play by play for again this Summer), books all their flights via a Travel Agency. The business is sure different, but many Agencies still thrive today.

No offense Grobber but I think I'd rather work in a coal mine than do that

Yeah, but I wont get Black Lung Disease. And I get to travel to LA,NY,Phoenix, and more. We also stay in the same Hotels the Bulls stay in on the road.
And I don't have to answer to Program Directors or GM's who don't want me around. Yeah, I love this gig, working for great people!
A coal miners job seems more hazardous to me.

BTW, you're not Dan Bernstein are you?(LOL)

I'd rather have Black Lung and Blue Balls than to watch Black Girls play B-Ball.

I knew that, but we all know how much he has always "loved" the WNBA. I for one enjoy watching a team that shows up every night, and doesn't take a season off(like the Bulls) because they(Gordon,Dang etc) are unhappy with their contract issues.
That said,I'm a big Bulls Fan,but a disgusted one!
Also,I've also used Bannocburn travel and Joe Mazza is a good guy!

Me too,but it's takes two to tango! You never know. Jobs in this business come right out of the blue.
I'm on CLTV with Lou Canellis and Chet Coppock this Sunday night at 9(replay at Midnight)so that and my own website are my current 'forum' right now-until the Sky starts up.

Ask Chet how to spell Jewish when you're on the show.

You ever date any of these women basketball players Grobber? I'm sure they get lonely on the road and a Grobber might look good to them.

It's funny. I saw you and your girlfriend at the Old Country Buffet in Rolling Meadows a couple of months ago. In fact it was right after the Cubs got bounced from the playoffs. You were wearing a Cubs T-shirt.

I didn't say anything to you. Don't like to bother people.

Is that the same one you took to the MLB All-Star Game as "Julie Swieca"?

I'm glad he liked it. Next time you see him show him this post.

Chet, why is the hair sometimes yellow and sometimes orange. Pick a weird color and stick to it. Chet, are early stages of dementia setting in with you? Are you also going senile? Thanks.

Speaks volumes about the quality of the haircut place he keeps pimping. Hot towel treatment, baby!
