They have one of these places in my town and my wife and I always laugh about it when we drive by. Just checked out their
website and it confirmed everything I imagined about it, including saunas to by the hour and "sleeping rooms" up above
the property for rent.

They're great, unless your office is directly on top of one and then it gets up to literally 94° in there in the summer.

As a fat man, I've never understood the draw of paying someone to sit in a room for the sole purpose of sweating.

I feel so terrible from this head cold I thought maybe it would help. They said vodka would help, but that didn't do a damn thing.

A friend does the sweat lodge fairly often. It's more of an Eastern European thing rather than a gay bathhouse.

He brought over a sauna tent about a month ago. That was fun. I still had the pool open so we had some friends over for a sauna/pool party in the cold.

When I spent time in Finland I found out it was a national tradition. Spent a lot of that winter with locals sweating my ass off.

Its actually pretty refreshing after. I found it helped me swear over bad hangovers (which are somewhat like the flu).

It might help

I have heard anecdotal evidence of the hangover benefit of a steam .... that said, since hangovers are a result of you being dehydrated, I don't know how that makes any sense.

On a scale of 1-10, how gay are you?

So I would wake up, puke, then eat a big meal. Drink a couple litres of water. When the mid day crummy headache feeling would set in then I would hit the sauna. The sweating seemed to push out the malaise.
