I like Jimmy, he's not a super star though. The amount of dough he's going to get paid is absurd, the Bulls were never going to win the East with him as the #1... The Bulls may never win the East with Laurie,Dunn and Lavine but the might pull it off.

Also.. Dunn > Rubio.. I liked them dumping Rubio but Dunn would have been a great replacement . Thibs should have seen that.

I don't get this response. Jimmy is playing like a superstar currently and he's outplaying his salary by a significant amount. Every single team in the NBA would love to have a player of that caliber on that contract.

In 3 years the Wolves have to decide if the want to pay Butler. The Bulls have to decide if they want to give another player (Lavine) $100M after a major knee injury this offseason.

Isn't Butler a FA after this season?

The Wolves have had a MAJOR turnaround this year and Butler and Crawford are the only upgrades. It would be foolish to suggest that the Wolves aren't also happy with the trade. This was a team that lost about 25 games last year when they were winning by double digits. They're winning those games now.

No. After next season(he has a player option for 2019-2020 that he will certainly decline if healthy)

No. He can opt out in 3 years. Lavine is a free agent.

January will define the Wolves. They have played a fairly soft schedule up to this point

i will concede this much to ltg.....their schedule is getting tougher and they may have to do it without Teague

it's definitely a key stretch

They don't really have a backup for Jones either. Aaron Brooks?

Thibs should be fired for not carrying a starting caliber 3rd string PG on the roster.

I honestly don't think it matters. They're a playoff team that has a 2nd round ceiling.

First round casualty. 6 th or 7th seed when the dust settles. Watch out world only 2 games back currently.

they won't go any lower than 5

Nuggets, Pelicans, Blazers and everyone below won't catch them. Thunder certainly could

They've been 4th in the West most of the season and they're currently the 7th best team in the league. I think 4th in the West is probably their ceiling but I doubt they'll fall to 7th without injuries. I expect them to continue improving.

They struggle to beat mediocre teams and a number of their wins have come against teams that were missing their best player. They also have been rather fortunate in terms of injuries.

Like Nas said, they have the 7th best record in the league. If they struggle to beat mediocre teams(they don’t), it means they are beating good teams with more regulatory than they should.

They still struggle to hold leads. That's a sign of a young team. Last year they lost the games they're winning this year. There are only 4 games in January I would pencil in as a L and OKC isn't one.

They really haven't played a lot of good teams. Real Wolves fans know this.

They are almost halfway through the season. It’s impossible not to play a lot of good teams over the course of half a season. Real nba fans know this.

OKC is beginning to put it together. Won't be a 2 seed but may slip in that 3rd slot.
