He's like bizzaro world Jason Goff. He could replace Goff and the show would be much better

Yes, he's an easy listen -- kind of like Jiggs.

I enjoy him. But we are also only getting small doses of him, which is probably best. Not sure he would do well on an every day basis.

True. Many thought Goff was going to be the future when he got his occasional hosting assignment.

Nick is wrong on comparing the trade returns of Bennett and Marshall to the Saints' returns for Cooks & Graham. The Bears traded 2 locker room problems who were around the age of 30; Cooks & Graham are both younger and no known issues as far as I know.

Shocking that a Score host wouldn't have his information correct....but the callers are bad.

How bad can Herron be if he does color commentary for college football games?

From what I've heard, he's pretty good on football. Not sure if he's got baseball/basketball knowledge, but a way better voice and presents himself much better than Goff.

I just heard him for 10 minutes on my drive home, he was breaking down the pros/cons of Kyle Fuller and having to deal with having Shep as his co-host.

Easily the most coherent and "user-friendly" analysis I've heard on the air in a long time. Some numbers, some instinct.

Please Mitch, get rid of Goff and stick this guy in 1-6pm.

I heard this too and thought the same thing. Herron is polished and has great football thoughts.

In terms of Goff; Please Mitch,Wally Pipp his ass!

Fill ins are like the backup quarterbacks of sports radio. Everyone loves them until they get the full time gig.

Everyone loves the backup when he's competent and the full time host is fucking terrible.

I always felt Goff n Abattaclueless sucked, Herron is good..just needs to be more assertive and talk more. He's probably trying to fit in n be nice and not intimidate the score weaklings.

When Dan was doing “tryouts” last year prior to Terry’s retirement, did Herron get a shot? I don’t recall that, but I agree that he is solid, at least on football.

They ran 50 guys through that process, you think they could have done better than Goff.

Maybe Herron wasn't available during the tryouts.

Herron is fine for football season. He knows his shit on football.

One thing that Larry and Goff will never admit, they hate Herron.

The SCORE white back ups/producers have to be pissed that Herron is a regular on the B&G show now. That Mitch went for an outsider instead of these desperate producers at the station. At least it means less of Larry, Rosie and Rozner on the B&G show.

Was Herron on at all this summer during baseball season? I can't remember.

No. Pretty sure they brought him aboard in September or October when football started. He probably gave Mitch a call for the job.

Absolutely. Why the SCORE has a career long snapper is beyond me. The guy didn't play pro football for 15 years. He long snapped for 15 years.

Herron is also better than Krutz and Big Cat.
