Hub just said reports are out there that this is a possibility. He also said he has no idea why Fangio would do it.

I heard that mentioned yesterday.

I tried to listen to Hub and Greg Gabriel for a while this morning but it was a tough listen. Greg Gabriel has the oratory skill of Bruce Levine and Hub is...hee-hee, hee-hee, Hub. He doesn't know why people think Ryan Pace is interested in hiring Pete Carmichael and said "people trying to link Ryan Pace to Pete Carmichael is like trying to make 2 + 2 = 4."

Since he doesn't think what those people are saying is true, shouldn't he have said any number but 4?

10th ranked D with a ton of injuries? I wouldn't say that's extremely overrated.

lol @ Hub not understanding 'why'.

Might it have something to do with the chance to win right away? Give them Rodgers back for a whole season and they're a lock for the playoffs. Thing is, I think Capers is as good or better than Fangio so on that end I'm not sure about Fangio winding up there.

It could also have something to do with needing a job and being offered one?

Also - Capers was good 7 or 8 years ago. The game has changed and he doesn’t seem to be able to adjust. I’d be fine with Fangio or a host of others. Capers needs to go.

Fangio is MUCH better than Capers now. Capers' defense was merely good during the Super Bowl year when they had best-in-the-league level talent (Woodson, Collins, young Matthews, Raji, Jenkins, etc.) and went to absolute shit shortly afterward despite still having decent personnel most of the time. GB's defense was so bad they inadvertently sabotaged the Vikings for a couple of years by making Ponder look like a franchise QB in the last game of 2012. Capers should've been blown out of there years ago.

Maybe he has grown stagnant there, I don't follow them very closely. His defense typically finds ways to look good against the Bears, fwiw.

I like Fangio but I honestly don't think he's a huge upgrade over Capers. He is good at coaching guys up, not sure where Capers is on that sort of thing.

I'm not one of them -but there are people that feel similar about Fangio. Nothing special without elite talent.

Could be a case of 'the grass is greener'. Either way, I could see why Vic would go to GB if that spot opened and he got a call from them.

Capers is awful. Fanfic would be a huge upgrade.

For whatever reason, McCarthey had Fangio's number here in Chicago. Even this season, with Rodgers out, Green Bay came in with the black fellow @ QB and curb stomped Fangio's defense and killed the Bears 2017 season.

That's like saying running out of shrimp cocktail made the Titanic a disastrous voyage.
