Guy on the inside says this could happen within the month. Don’t have any names, just kno DeCastro is in the final assessment stage of THE SCORE’s programming department. Hosts, producers, part-time producers... All of them. Major turnover imminent.

I'm not leaving my job for a 2-year contract. 3-years minimum.

Mac and Parkins? Or can they get Terry out of retirement for HFC?

How much of a Mac-DeCastro connection is there? We know Jimmy likes HIS GUYS: look at how he pretty much handed WGN over to Steve Cochran and Roe Conn. Did they cross paths besides 1000 when Mac was with Chet? I think DeCastro was out at 1000 by the time Mac went over.

If I was to believe you, hopefully this means that Grote's demotion is only temporary, and that Jason has been burning his vacation because he's been told to do so.

If I had to roulette-wheel wager on a particular date, I'd go with 2/7, the Wednesday after the Super Bowl. Make the announcements and either let people say goodbye or don't, have guest hosts Thursday and Friday, and bring the new lineup in on Monday 2/12. [Neither DePaul or UIUC are playing that night, so it's a full boat for LoHo or whoever gets nights.]

Just from listening for a couple days, Bernstein and Grote seem to bring out the best in each other, while Bernstein and Goff bring out the worst. Jason is so thin-skinned and irritable that he's made Dan sound mellow by comparison, which no one should ever be able to do.

There should have been a little overlap there, but also Mac is buddies with Solk, so there's a connection that way.

Plus with two or three frequencies up for grabs, a third sports talker might actually occur. Lock Mac in now.

Maybe this is why Goff has seemed a little more bitchy lately

Hopefully if this is a thing it involves meatpants being kicked to the curb and Mac getting more airtime

I'm not calibrated enough to notice Jason getting bitchier. What'd he do, take it up from 8 to 9?

I love how this board takes any comment regarding programming and runs with it as fact. How many pages?

Mac pretty much alluded to it as fact during his Thursday podcast. So even if the poster is full of shit, he's probably still accidentally correct.

Meatpants doesn't have to go completely. The problem is that he's best with Rosner on an extra-long Sunday morning Hit and Run (like 8-12:45) leading into Cubs pregame, but the whole tribute band thing blows up that idea.

Also, I'd like to see Mac and Parkins go from 2-6:30 instead of 1-6. It's idiotic to have LoHo come in for 35 minute shows before Cubs, NFL, DePaul and Illinois games. That would open up 9-2 to possibly have two shows, and thus room for meatpants.

Yes. He announced that on Facebook once when someone criticized him.

I'm just afraid that Tim Doyle will get a shift somewhere. Unless he's taking over the time slot of the Julie and Maggie SJW-fest, any other shift would be bad.

Maybe they can Sarah Spain-promote Goff to CBS Sports Radio. He'd actually be an improvement over most of their current on-air talent, and he could be all NBA all day.

I'm sure there is a buyout in it

Either way, he might want to downsize in car as he won't be able to live the Range Rover life longterm

Guys get fired all the time mid-deal. Pretty sure it’s a two-year. And he more than likely has a non-compete, so he just couldn’t work elsewhere until the deal expires. Honestly I could see both he AND Dan gone.

She's too inconsequential to be fired. Barring a real social media fuck up, she's there for awhile.

I couldn't find the recent books for the midday and afternoon shows.

B&G were drawing a 5.1 share at one point, right?
