The word on the street is that he will surely be moving on, possibly next year. The Spurs are one old ass team and have been too dumb to get young. What could we offer them that wouldn't hamstring us? Is this a futile thought?

Is it true that no superstar wants to come here?

I agree. We should get Curry and Lebron too.

What's this word on the street that he's surely moving on from the Spurs? I thought it was just that anonymously sourced story about a "rift" between the team and him on rehab.

That's the "word" I'm referring to. It's quite believable. Why the fuck would he NOT want to get off of that dead team?

Of course the other word on the street is that LeBron wants him NOW. Also, Kevin Love is becoming trade bait.

Why would he want to leave the best organization in sports? One that helped turn him from a non-lottery pick into a superstar? Really man?

We don't need Leonard. We have a nice "in house" option developing nicely.

We got one. His name is Lauri Markkanen. It's short for Dirk Nowitzki.

A superstar would ruin this team right now

Maybe in two years... But right now we're good. We have to continue whatever this is, because it's way better than it should be.

Sounds like Kobe would’ve ruined the Bulls back in 2007 because we were good with whatever that was.

I believe it began as anonymous rumors but since then Jalen Rose has stated Leonard wants out...fwiw.

I saw that. His reasoning seemed... poor at best. According to him Kawhi wants out because they can’t attract free agents and talent. But they are tied for the 3 seed in the West without him playing basically all year. So that doesn’t hold water. They also got Aldridge when he was heavily coveted, particularly by the Lakers.

It is a bit strange that Lamarcus' motivation and commitment were called into question basically the year after he joined, then they calmed down abruptly. In Portland he started getting vocal the last few years there it seemed. Maybe the Spurs are really good at managing player unhappiness and will be able to can any notions of Kawhi leaving. I don't think the Bulls can put together a package for him that would get it done, only because I value Kawhi as a centerpiece and the Bulls don't have anyone that qualifies. Markannen + Lavine + Niko? I don't think the Spurs take that, and that's our best offer.

The Bulls pretty much had Kawhi Leanard for the last several seasons.

Hmmm...fair comparison. You have a point.

You know who I would REALLY want? COUSINS. (free agent to be) If we had him I could stomach losing Miro and Lopez.

I know he's a head case, but OMG what a force!
