Some asked Parkins today on "Can't Do It" if Mac is coming back to WSCR full time. Parkins said he didn't know, but Mac will be hosting with Haugh on Friday when Parkins and Spiegel aren't there.

Mac already needs new material.

Every time I have heard him on WSCR the last few weeks he has:

1. Complained about the Eagles playing the underdog card during the playoffs.
2. Said he can't wrap his head around rooting for a team (the Bulls) to lose.

I think it's too early in a return to be this repetitive.

I can't wrap my head around Mac commenting on the NBA.

I was getting pretty annoyed yesterday listening to Paxson dance around the tank talk...how the Bulls were going to be giving most of the playing time in upcoming games to the scrubs because "we have to see what they can do" (instead of saying "because we need to lose as many games as possible").

No way. Mac still has that spark that's missing from a few on-air hosts on the station. Parkins has it, Spiegel's is flickering, while Dan's has been all-but snuffed out and Jason's only fires for topics that don't interest your audience.

Uh oh, Mac coming out of a break talking about the music beds, please don't transition to rock music talk following movie talk....

It came and went without a problem, though I was pleasantly surprised to find out Mac likes the Decemberists. Even I don't like the Decemberists that much, outside of "O Valencia!" and "The Engine Driver/On the Bus Mall," which are great.

Mac doesn't interest me much beyond football season and Haugh's football knowledge is better. I've always been a fan of his work (He loved Grossman) and most hosts are thin skinned. Besides I know Mac will stop trying in a month. Parkins is the only consistently good host. Build around him and stop falling for the Mac crap.

He was during his playing days. He has improved 100 fold since he retired. He was great on W&S too.
