Nice Vid. That place was responsible for my earliest baseball memories. I can't think of a Sox fan who wouldn't be moved by that tribute.

You miss the point as I see it.

It is the fond childhood memories or nostalgia for days gone by as an adult that these stadiums evoke. Wrigley is in sad shape perhaps, but it is a place that I love to visit and watch a game.
Old Comiskey Park was where I went to one of my first baseball games and I still have a photo that I took... with section I9 I-beam obscuring the view perfectly in the middle. Don't ask me what I was thinking, I was around 5 years old.
I was disappointed when Comiskey Park was torn down. I'll be just as disappointed when Wrigley is torn down. Both ballparks were great places to watch a game. One still is... but not for long I fear.

I have great memories of that park too. It's also the place where I learned what pot smells like.

Beardown - What's that smell dad?

Dad - That's the smell of dope son. Don't ever do that shit. Here, hold my beer. I'm gonna get another one before they cut off sales.

Ahhh, the memories.

I learned what pot smelled like at Soldier Field, but I digress.

I don't care if it was a shit hole, the history in a place like that, I just don't think they should be torn down for increased the revenue a new stadium will bring.

I actually attended the last night game at Comiskey. My Dad was at the last 2 games. It really was emotional in the park.

My best memory was a get away day game in the park's last year of 1990. It was turn back the clock day. They were wearing the 1917 uniforms. This young kid, Sammy Sosa, had two triples that day against the Brewers. He was my favorite player at the time. I got his autograph. Got 3 of his rookie cards signed that day while waiting outside the Sox parking lot. Now, like everybody else, I hate Sosa. Anybody want to buy those autographed cards?

Being at a Sox/Royals tilt in '77 with my dad, grand-dad and aunt. The Sox blew a lead late, won in the bottom of the ninth, and my best memory of that park is still my family telling me to keep the faith, 'they' can still come back-and they did thanks to a Jorge Orta blast. Next best would be the upper deck, with the funny little cigarettes, and regulation casual beer vendors.

Old Comiskey was a dump, green paint, white paint, weed haze or while inebriated. (Amazing how easy that got to admit after '05)

Yes Sox fans I was at the last Comiskey game.

Even have 4 old seats from the park and some other items I was not suppossed to take, but did.

also went to the demolition and got a few of the old bricks with white paint on them and maybe some stuff from the clubhouse.

Other storage items. 3 Wrigley seats, 2 Bulls floor seats, MJ Huffy backboard, rejected Bulls cover schedule picture (very cool), some bulls floor, some soldier field turf, Wrigley brick from tear down of bleachers (Lotsa security issues on that one), yes, plenty of signed stuff, but always like dthe unique stuff.
