One of Justin Verlander's love parents has got to be Les Claypool of Primus.

The Good Guys are looking pretty sharp as of late (even though we're up against the surprisingly BAD Tigers). Offense should put up some impressive total numbers this year.

Swisher's goate has to go, though.

This series reminds me of the great pitching and timely hitting we saw in 2005. Good to see them score a lot of runs with only 1 solo HR. Few double plays turned tonite too. 4-2 is an excellent road trip.

Indeed. Started pitching guys away, then started jamming everyone inside. Lots of broken bats from Buehrle tonite.

The Sox bats are beginning to roll.

Even a half-hearted effort over the next 4 days should yield them three pretty easy wins as the offensively challenged Twins come to town.

The Twins have scored 1 or less in half their games thus far with no cure in sight.

It's still early, but this team already looks better than it did at any time last season. They should at least be a more enjoyable watch.

He did get out of it, but he's got to be a 5th-6th inning guy.

Nice start!!! 4 in a row. A.J and Dye are hot as hell. You know what's great? Paulie is yet to get hot.

Everybody in ther regular line up has contributed in the 6 games. Hell, everybody contributed today.

Bullpen looks pretty good. Our bench looks great.

We might have the best double play combo in MLB. I'm not kidding.

I wonder if the Detroit Tigers will win a game this year.

Some people say the Sox can only score with homers. Well, today they scored 13 runs with only 1 HR. A solo shot by Swisher. 12 runs without a HR.

From the looks of them early on, I wouldn't be too sure. The Royals could be the real deal this season. :?

In appearance it is very powerful but in reality it is nothing to be afraid of; it is a paper tiger.

if i were Mao that would be a lot more effective.

I dunno how much up he has left. Ozzie seemed to be at a mid-season impatience level with Contreras during that mound visit yesterday. It's still the first week of the season. I think Jose is going to be a well paid 12th man in the bullpen sooner than later.

He's going to stay in the rotation. The White Sox don't have much behind their current starters, and with the money they are paying him, it would take a lot for him to get moved to the pen. I still think he'll just be an up and down pitcher all season.

4-2 is a great road trip, I don't care if Detroit is struggling or not. I was just hoping to stay afloat to open the season. Now, we need to go home, and not let down.

4-2 road trip against the toughest competition in the division

3-3 would have been a success

2-4 would have been acceptable

Right. Don't give the Tigers the excuse of "they were struggling". Part of the reason they "struggled" is cuz the Sox made them struggle for 3 games.

I hope Vazquez looks better tonight than he did in Game 2. This is a Twins team we should beat, hopefully we take care of business.

The Sox have owned the Tigers for the past few years, so I am still confident that will remain the same for quite some time. I don't see Minnesota being very tough this season for some reason, despite very little change in their roster.

Maybe they didn't lose a lot of players, but they lost Hunter and Santana. Losing 2 guys of thier caliber drastically changes a ballclub.

We might have the best double play combo in MLB. I'm not kidding.

agree, Uribe has a cannon like arm, practice habits aside. Corect me if i'm wrong, but how many teams have a Former gold glove shortstop type @ 2b?

Bottom line is, they lost their best pitcher (and he would be the best pitcher on any roster in the majors) and your best hitter can't be portryed as anything other than you will lose 8-10 games in the standings on that alone.

Well, you are wrong. Uribe was never a gold glove winner at short. I always thought he was a top 5 short stop however. But never a gold glover.

Still, his arm at 2nd is something that no other team has. It really helps on double plays. He gets it there a half second quicker than most. That could be the difference of safe or out a lot of times. It happened yesterday. Plus, I notice that it's tough for a base runner to take Uribe out at 2nd. He has good balance.

i said "type"

Gold gloves are about politics, and ironically it is an offensive award.

Crede should have won one, their is not a finer third sacker with the leather in The Leagues not named Rolen.
