You're rich. I think you are called eccentric.

Absolutely. Fantastic show, just fantastic.

Indeed!

Them days sucked when the rural shows came on. You knew the good times were over.

They should have played The Virginian.

Quietly for whatever reason I loved the old show on channel 9 with Orion Samuelson

I did not. Hated all the ag shows my dad watched. But I do miss the Noon Show. At least the introduction.

At seven I kept wondering what a soybean or pork belly was. The prices made it sound like a cool competition though.

I think that it goes 1. Smart ass, 2. Quirky and then in the dotage, eccentric.

We had a farm across drive when I was a kid. I remember his dairy cows in our front yard on more than one occasion. Dad worked for Dekalb. I was inundated with that stuff. Still dumb enough to pop a pod off a soybean plant and take a bite. Not tasty.

I had a school project where you had to describe yourself in 3 words and then ask 5 close friends or family to describe you in 3 words. I see myself vastly different than the rest of the world does.

Jesus, you old dudes can derail a thread like no other if the right topic is even tangentially relevant. Glad I don't do that!

I might have to make time this month to watch The Virginian before busy times fire up. You’ve given it such glowing reviews.

Some episodes are really, really good. And some are....just tv shows. Formulaic.

One of the reasons why it's interesting is because they sometimes show what real cowboys actually did (besides the drinking whiskey). When I finish watching 'em all, I'll tell you which seasons are the best--I think the answer will be the first three or four.

He's been on record for hating Rocky. He thought Apollo and Clubber Lang were the superior athletes. He didn't like the dumb Italian winning. Goff didn't like Karate Kid. That wasn't a black vs. white thing. Because Danielson beat another white. Still, he didn't like the story because it was about a white overcoming the odds.

Today he said Hoosiers was a horrible movie. Obviously he didn't like the hick team from Indiana beating an "all black" team in the title game. He did one of those "Goff things" where he insinuated that it was a racist movie. Shep jumped in and asked him why he hated it and Goff backed off.

I don't mind Goff hating these movies. But like Goff always says to his white racist callers, just be honest. He wants his callers to tell him they hate black people. I want Goff to simply say he hates white people. It's cool. It's not cool to dance around it and hint at it without saying it.

I don't think this applies to our movie. The whole point was that we were racially diverse. Rev, Blue, and Lastik tried to get the motherfuckers to sing Kumbaya but that shit didn't work. It took me and Big Julie threatening to fuck people up for the team to come together and win a championship.

When I logged on this morning and saw a Beardown post was at 3 pages, I knew something wasn't right. Then clicking in and seeing all you old timers talking 70s shows, I knew why. Usually a Beardown post is 7 responses long with most people telling him to shut up, die, get fucked, etc.
