It's unseemly to take joy in another person's failure. He has a new family to feed.

He's routinely professed his success, and the spoils from said success as a way to demean those he feels are beneath him (I drive a Range Rover and do Paid Reads and get bonuses for my ratings), on top of outright challenging people competing with him ("those guys up the dial...").

This negates the otherwise unseemly nature of delighting in someone's failure.

The only time sports radio should mention twitter is when they are relaying news broken on twitter from someone like Ian Rapoport

He dared / encouraged people to not listen to his show . It’s not really a problem to see an asshole get his comeuppityence.

Do you think it is fair for a news organization to out an anti-gay politician as a homosexual, or a family values pol as a philanderer? Is it fair to delight at said politician's comeuppance and ouster?

If your answer is 'no' to that, then you are a more principled man than I. Good for you.

It's entirely different than continuing to antagonize the guy after he has been fired. Once that politician no longer holds the office, his thoughts on the subject are that of a private citizen.

You were responding to calls to antagonize him, but said only "taking joy" is unseemly. So how long are we allowed to delight at Goff's removal from the station?

I wish Jason well in his future endeavors. Hopefully he can get back to being the fun guy that endeared him to so many. Before Bernstein corrupted him.

Isn't part of their SJW radio though..trying to get other people fired? Or is that just a Dan/JDC thing?

IIRC, Jason advocated finding out the identity of some racist caller who spawned the eye-rolling "we won't back down from using our platform..." Facebook post on the station's page.

Don't forget the idiot Blackhawk fans that were chanting Basketball at the game. B&G were requesting people contact their employers to get them fired. I have sympathy for Goff's wife and kid, but Goff....not so much.

I straight up didn't lowball. I mean was it petty? Oh hell yes, but it was a good offer.

I guess you can take as much personal joy for as long as you need it to fill your soul as long as you are not confronting him.

I started listening to WSCR in my mid/late 20s when "The best man at my mothers funeral" happened. I loved the engagement with callers. I loved dumb calls. Somewhere the station moved away from that and instead talking to the blue check mark brigade.

He's a loser who has failed upwards his entire career. The fact that he's still keeping up the act despite being fired twice in 5 years means he's never gonna learn. I am delighting in his misery and will continue to do so, can't wait for the divorce.

Man Jack. Had to scroll down before I responded to this. Knew someone would pounce on it. This guy has gone on for the better part of 2 months railing against Seacrest for referencing his non radio career. Now he partakes in the exact sort of thing that he used in order to vilify the evil Seacrest. I'm sure a distinction without there necessarily being a difference will be forthcoming.

Where have I professed success and belittled others with the spoils of my career? I also don't actually mind Seacrest doing it, I just want him to admit that he's using it as a slight (instead of his "I don't know" crap) because he doesn't like me. Then he can do it all he pleases and show everyone what an asshole he is, just like you do on a regular basis.

Show me where I reveled in the success of my career in a way even remotely similar to the way Goff has repeatedly.

I am an asshole but you prove on a daily basis that no one in the world may be a bigger asshole and hypocrite than you are. You lack of awareness is frightening. Hopefully this exchange doesn't propel me into the top tier of posters you don't like. At that level you're unbearable.

You demean guys also. You once insinuated that you were more entrenched in matters of the law than a guy on here that happened to be a lawyer. How is that for demeaning?

Where have I professed success and belittled others with the spoils of my career? Can you answer this please?

This seems to be the major underpinning of your hypocrisy claims, here: That I have touted my success just like Goff, and just like Goff, don't like others reveling in my failures. Seems your position necessitates evidence that I have bragged and demeaned others with and about my career. I'll wait for you to find it.
