Don't see Spiegel and Goff going to ESPN 1000. Besides Murph and Fred Saturday mornings, their weekend shows usually are hosted by weekday producers (you know, actually fostering talent up thru the system like another sports station in the city used to do...).

Depends on if ESPN is going to want to invest in a local morning show in the Chicago market. Given their recent ratings success they may be inclined to attempt to grab even more of the market. Kap could move to mornings to directly compete against M&H, and a Spiegel-led show could compete against Dan. If Dan doesn't change the Score is about to get a lot weaker in middays.

1000 must be looking into a morning show. The ratings for Golic and Wingo will continue declining compared to Mike & Mike, especially through the summer.

Both Matt and Jason are better suited for XM niche channels. Jason was doing some XM NBA while he was in Atlanta, Matt would be good on MLB and a competent show driver on some of the other sports channels.

The simultaneous demise of WLUP hurts Matt's chances to do anything Chicago music-radio oriented, as there's now another glut of guys who can run professional rock shifts.

The more I think about it, the more Goff needs a scripted show. He has plenty of sports thoughts, but the open mic forum is just deadly as he veers into non-entertaining topics. BR was onto it as he called it a production issue.

I agree. I think AM1000 is better off continuing to give airtime to Adam Abdalla and Chris Blech instead of bringing in guys like Speigel and Goff who have failed repeatedly. Not to mention they have both shown, on air, that they are hypersensitive pains in the ass.

Used to? Doesn't Julie Decaro have her own show on weekends? Trust the process. Future afternoon drive type shit is being fostered.
