I know the game was a bit of a shitshow at launch almost four years ago (three for consoles) but it seems to be in a really good place now, shady microtransaction bull shit aside. Still a different animal from a traditional single player BGS Elder Scolls game but it is fun in it's own way. Guessing it's a long shot but if anyone is playing on Xbox I'd be down for some Cyrodil action.

I'd be down, but PS4 only.

Would still be curious in hearing about what you run if this means you are playing or have played.

I have not. Was a huge fan of both Skyrim and Oblivion. Honestly, not that familiar with online, but I've always wanted to try some of these online RPG's.

I'd say if you are interested wait for the next time there is a sale on the base game. Plenty to do in that without the expansions to get a taste of whether you like it or not. Just don't expect it to be another Skyrim or Oblivion. The online component drastically changes the way combat is, in some cases for better and some cases for worse.

Also, Aldmeri Dominion or GTFO.

Word. Probably a good idea.

FFXIV is still my go to MMO when I'm in the mood. Couple of months out of the year, and then I take a break. Usually fall / winter. I did try ESO when it had first come out....ouch. But yeah, most MMO make rapid improvements over the first year or two.

I wish I could get into MMORPGs again but I just can't stop playing them until I get in basically the top 5 or so % of players. Through Ultima Online, Star Wars Galaxies, and World of Warcraft it was pretty easy, I was under employed and didn't live with the gf. Things started getting tough when I was playing Knights of the Old Republic as I had a real job and was living with the future wife. It was just too tempting to fire it up at weird times so I quit. Maybe in 13 years when my daughter is in college I'll start again.
