Great move, no one wants MiLB games to go any longer than they have to once beer sales are cut off.

What a delightfully stupid idea.

And there would be no outs? Look for a lot of bunting in the 10th.

it's basically the California tiebreaker....only difference is the inning doesn't start with an out.

Good point. That'll speed things up.

That's a fair point, but still play at least the 10th and possibly 11th inning like normal.

This is NHL bullshit and has no place in high-level professional sports.

If you're going to put the winning run on 2nd, the first batter should be intentionally walked every time up. Why not just start the inning with bases loaded and nobody out and stop pussyfooting around?

There needs to be a series of murders in regards to anyone that even briefly thought this was a good idea to assure this fuckery ends asap.

Games should just end in a tie. If you can't beat your opponent in 9, you both deserve a loss.

First guy gets walked, second guy bunts. Maybe another intentional walk after that.

I will send as many high school students to the slaughter as it takes to get major league baseball to stop ruining the game.

Noted REALLY SMART GUY Jed Hoyer said he was kinda for it while on with Jurko and Carm. Said he wouldn't do it until like the 12th, and certainly not in the playoffs, but nobody in management likes really long games. Said it fucks up your bullpen, makes you call up minor leaguers for the next game, and is a shitty product to watch the longer the game goes on. Your line up is all janked up from pinch hitting and double switches, everybody is just trying to mash a tater, and pitchers are out of gas.,

I'm sure management hates to see Kyle Schwarber bat too. Maybe they can go with three man batting orders.

There are like 3 games a year that go longer than 13 innings. Most extra inning games probably end in the 10th or 11th.

Last year the Cubs had a 17 inning game or something and were all butthurt afterwards. Too bad. If having a non-screwed up bullpen and lineup means more to you than winning a ballgame, than kick the ball around the infield to allow a runner home or have your pitcher start grooving batting practice fastballs in the 13th or 14th inning.

That was more in reference to the lazy Schwarber joke

He's the worst hitter in their lineup, isn't he?
