Last year the Cubs had a 17 inning game or something and were all butthurt afterwards. Too bad. If having a non-screwed up bullpen and lineup means more to you than winning a ballgame, than kick the ball around the infield to allow a runner home or have your pitcher start grooving batting practice fastballs in the 13th or 14th inning.
The purists will love that one too
This is a far better option than doing the beer league softball rule of starting with a 1-1 count or a runner on base.
