I know, right. Even on a message board meant to be dedicated to sports talk radio, people would rather talk about other topics. Look at the percentage of radio related posts to General Discussion alone, or the subforums for the individual sports teams. This forum started as a sports talk radio forum, for sure. That is no longer the main focus. There isn't enough draw for that.

No.

Isn't this what you do with your Cubs thoughts?

Not at all. That is why I frequently debate guys like Silvy and Waddle and Kap and express why I thought the Cubs should not sign Heyward, why they should have kept Arrieta and don't just agree with management all the time, not the hosts all the time. Why I say Almora should start everyday in CF and that Haap should be a utility guy and is not a CF. A corner outfielder and a 2B or trade bait. I disagree with the idea that Edwards will ever be a good closer, despite the fact Theo and Joe still think he may be. I have enjoyed debating them when they want to give Rick Hahn too much credit too. Just because he has acquired players that many believe COULD be very good in a year or two (or maybe more), doesn't mean they will be. Hahn has had 5 straight losing season and nary a single winning one. If he is to be given praise, it should be AFTER they actually achieve something. A winning season at least.

The last time I heard you on the air, you flat out admitted you were an idiot. You said you had no idea how Jason Heyward could be a + WAR player. I get that the metrics and math involved is probably too much for your feeble mind to comprehend, but the way you went about debunking this was hilarious. You babbled on about how Heyward only had 60 (or whatever) RBI, but he had 15 runs saved, so that is really 75 runs, yet a corner OF spot should drive in 90 or 100 runs, so he actually costs his teams runs.

It was pathetic. As soon as you hung it up, it was a "Thanks for the call, Steve," from Silvy and they went ahead with their conversation addressing not a single word of what you talked about.

There is a giant pothole outside of my office right now that has better baseball thoughts than you do. At least the pothole doesn't call radio shows to subject other people to its inane ideas about the game.
