No shit. Why would you not wait? In 5 days all of the remaining cb's would probably be gone. Pace is as much of a goober as he looks.

Pace is an idiot. We'll regret this deal this season.

Bears match the offer. Fuller is getting $56 million for 4 years. Everyone can stop crying now.

Cornerbacks are always overpaid. It's one of the most exorbitant positional salaries in all of sports.

For a young CB with supposedly high potential whose shown flashes of being solid? Gotta overpay. Packers made them overpay more than they would've liked, but that's the NFL.

I have no doubt some of you sticks in the mud will shit on this prematurely, but I'm okay with it. If he busts out, he busts out. Life will somehow go on. It's not like this team is in their championship window and Fuller's contract will fuck it all up.

Pace should have stuck the Packers with him. There is no way they really wanted him. They freaking targeted his side of the field when they played them.

Wow, I’m kind of left speechless on this one. Kyle Fuller better bust out and play at a pro bowl level for that type of bread. This offsets a lot of the good vibes, I’m not gonna lie to myself.

High potential? He’s not a rookie.

I get that you do an “optimistic” bit here, but if you’re gonna antagonize people you might want to make your posts a bit more realistic. Fuller does not have high potential.

You're a Packers fan. You know, the team that literally wrote this contract.
The Packers WANTED to pay him this contract.

Yes. That would have been dumb. Not sure what that has to do with my post to dewskie though.

I need you to re-read all of this. If you can.

You're criticizing the Bears for copying your teams' move. Which they initiated.

Before your next response: please, remember, you're saying it about the Packers opinion of Fuller.

It’s impossible you’re this dumb for someone who is ostensibly an educator.

I was criticizing Dewskie’s optimism in Fuller as a player. Literally the only post I made in the thread regarding the actual contract was saying the Packers dodged a bullet by Pace matching the dumb offer sheet. Then other Bear fans agreed with me.

Please keep stopping by every week or two at 1 am to get owned by me though. It’s becoming an amusing routine.

I even specifically said he’s not a bad player.

Have another shot of Tito’s spanky. I’m switching to water myself.

If you want to criticize people for not being optimistic then don't make your argument that they overpaid but overpaying is ok and that it's ok if he busts out.

Agreed. He can play, but that's a lot of money for him.

On a side note, I'm getting the feeling more and more that Pace will actually trade up in the 1st to get Nelson -which I think is a bad idea, but whatever.

Wow 4y/$56m for Kyle Fuller, who hasnt looked worth that kind of money since week 3 of his rookie year. Almost quit football even.

I suppose thats the #1 CB vacancy filled, and basically the end of the Bears being major players in free agency. Off to such a good start and now it feels kinda underwhelming.

Well Pace's trade last year hardly feels like an overpay anymore after what the Jets gave up to move from 6 to 3.

It wasn't an overpay in the first place. A nation of Madden GMs waits with breathless anticipation to fellate John Lynch for every "fleecing" he pulls off.

It's only an overpay if -A. Pace didn't need to make the trade in the 1st place because Mitch was still going to be available, and B. if Mitch is a complete bust.

And we'll most likely never know the actual answer to A, so it will probably be a topic of debate for a while. And B.. well B will sort itself out.

Giving Lynch credit is not why most Bears fans think it was an 'overpay', not from what I've seen/heard anyway. Can't speak for the Madden GM's tho

I find that being a dipshit is a fair diagnosis for most people that are fans of any team, if we're being honest.
