When you get sucked into a Bricking it can be very unpleasant. The man has no need for winning a debate. He just simply wants to talk in circles. It is funny to watch posters still fall for it.

But yeah, PM is obviously smashed right now.

I think that is used too often.. I've had many disagreements with BRick and they almost never turn into something like this. The need to attempt to force him to agree just seems odd. Most of the time I understand the point he's making even when I disagree.

Hey man. WFR is the guy who wanted to go around dropping N-bombs because he was mad only black people were doing it. He's a POS. No way I'd defend him.

Let's not pretend Brick doesn't have a certain gimmick he's perfected throughout the years tho. I used to fall for it almost daily when I first joined.

I don't think it's a gimmick.

And to be clear, I am a Rick fan.

What's the baseball debate he tricks you into posting page after page with his "talent"?

I think he just enjoys debating those things and is bad at it.

I could be wrong, though.

He may actually be on another level, and we just aren't seeing it.

Too bad he never posts past 9pm to refute these suggested observations.

And just in case your question was genuine, the main one is his thoughts on Kyle Schwarber's World Series performance.

It was genuine. I just remember reading through like a page and a half of Leash-infused Bricking debating some baseball topic. It was either the Schwarber stuff or the 2005 vs. sustained success debate.

Yeah, that one upsets him too. Whenever he takes a passive-aggressive swipe at Billy Beane in a random thread, he's perseverating about 2005.

Just to be clear, I have great respect for Brick's major contributions in saving this site along with the Wisemen.

No one respects Brick more than me.

Except sometimes he is factually wrong and won't give it up. He said unequivocally that Spiegel was unsuccessful in the ratings before Parkins "saved" him. I went through two years of Fall books and showed him that was not the case, and that still required a couple of laps before I got "Spiegel did ok before Parkins" out of him.

I wanted to take a nap after that.

You are so stupid that it hurts to talk to you. You aren’t smart enough to understand a position so you start to call people names. You wear the Cubie blue well. I’m guessing academia wasn’t your thing? Huh?

What with Baby Mac apparently taking the weekend off, nice of PM and Ruff to really put in some work to fill in.

My wife is binge-watching S.W.A.T. from CBS right now.

The guy who just got murdered was named Raymont Harris. I was like "NOOOO!!".

She said who is Raymont Harris?

It seems like an odd random choice of name. I'm guessing this was written by a Michigan guy.

That's ridiculous.

Of course it is. Especially when you consider how each of them handled the recent change. Spiegs publically said he’s embracing his backup role and will do as much as he can with it.

Goff criticized the Tribune article, said he wasn’t told any of it, and then started tweeting gifs of Omar saying a man has got to have a code.

Spiegs is the guy who gets 5-9 years, eligible for parole in 20 months, for taking the blame for the made guy. Everybody remembers the sacrifice.

A man like Goff who has now been fired in the last 5 years in 2 major radio markets really shouldn't be burning bridges. Talk shit all you want in private (I'm sure Spiegs is doing it) but avoid the public stuff; Goff is just hurting himself in getting a future radio gig. Goff does not have the history of success (like McNeil) that makes it easier for an employer to overlook his firings and bridge burning.

So does that make Goff a Tommy DeVito to Dan McNeil's Billy Batts?

Wait, what did Goff say about the Trib article? What was the Trib article? Why did Goff say it was a lie?

I must have missed this in the mass of threads.

Implied that DeCastro's public explanation for the change was not the one he was given in private but didn't elaborate.

The plot thickens.

But it makes sense. When you have a meeting learning you're being fired, the boss never tells you the real reason. They usually just say they want to go in a different direction.

deCastro fucked up by letting out the real reason to the media, however.

Mac said the reason on the air - Social issue talk. Then Mac walked it back here. Probably from orders from deCastro because he knew he fucked up.

The meaning of letting this out is bad optics for deCastro. Because Bernstein didn't get fired for talking social issues. He just got demoted. But they let go of the black guy for doing it. So that paints deCastro as a racist in some people's minds.

Certainly in Goff's mind.

The SCORE totally mishandled this.
