It's not High Noon, or Second Hand News, but it's something like "The 11" or something but it's the same thing.

Still not sure if Sports Radio TV Guide will show up!

Midday Midway! They couldn't tease a good name out of the Spinal Tap 11 bit, I guess.

It's the "Midday Midway". What a horrible name. Cancel this show. Find some other guy from Kansas City to get in here!

Could have done one of two things:

1) call it the Second Half because that name means something to people
2) call it High Noon because that name also means something to people and do it an hour later and just roll with your quick-hits segment not being at the midpoint of the show

For all the complaining we did about Terry being a rubber stamp for Dan, holy shit, McDoink really serves no purpose on this show. He sounds like a producer chiming in on a solo show. And even Terry had a unique voice. This is just in one ear, out the other.

i don't quite get why mcdoink is a better fit than speigal to pair with bernstein. I suppose for speigal's mental health working with bernstein every day could be bad for him.. but i'd rather they'd chosen that pairing

We don't know if these two will turn into something decent. But I suspect this is a long term cost cutting move.

They couldn't put Goff on an ice floe alone.

Spiegel isn't good and cares more about his band.

Didn't notice the other host at all during the Deitsch interview.

Bernstein needs someone like Rosenbloom who isn't afraid to disagree.

Yeah they should’ve just went 100% jewfire and went with Rozner or Rosenbloom. I respect deCastro’s management acumen but he may have well just put a gallon of Sherwin Williams across from Bernstein and it would be more interesting than McDoink. I don’t know what the fuck he sees in him.

The problem is akin to fantasy football bye weeks. What do you do when it's Rosh Hashanah or Hanukkah and there is no staff around?

Dan said the forbidden word but quickly caught himself and corrected it.

Parkins and Bernstein are talking about a possible wager if Syracuse and Duke play, and Bernstein said if Duke loses he'd wear a Duke sweatshirt he had in college (the one he's wearing in the photo with the White Sox hat).

WTF kind of wager is that?

I thought Spiegel challenged Dan during transitions, and certainly had the meme about Dan “taking the fun out of everything.”

The idea of getting rid of two instead of just Goff is probably right. Optics.

Unless he meant that Parkins had to wear it, it makes no sense.

I thought that's what it was going to be but Bernstein made it sound like he would wear his own Duke sweatshirt if Duke lost, which makes no damn sense as you said.

Maybe I misunderstood.

Is that Shuster or Kerner who pronounces "every" as "evey"? Shuster pronounced "Loyola" as "Lyola" during his update.

Well said.

And when this dawns on DeCastro and their ratings fall, who do you think will be shoved out?

My money is on Bernstein.
