Bears have reached out to him, from what's floating around. In 2015 he and Robinson formed a good 1-2 punch. I don't know if he'd be a great acquisition, but it would most certainly mean Meredith and others are probably gone.

meh, I would rather have Merideth back. Huge upside..6'3 4.4 speed. Towards the end of the 2016 season I think he was graded as one of the better WR's in the entire league(smaller sample size I know)

Meredith is a definite keeper - I’m excited to see what he can accomplish in what will likely be a shitload of one-on-one matchups.

I do like Hurns as a 4th or 5th receiver.

Absolutely would like this. Playing time will not be given, it will be earned. If Meredith is healthy and back to form then he will show it in camp, stealing reps from everyone other than Robinson. Same applies to Kevin White (lmao jk he's dead). I hope more names are brought in. Huge opportunity to make a big name for yourself as a Bears WR this year.

yeah seriously, what about killa cam meredith? dude was nice a couple'a years ago, even bordering on weekly fantasy cromulence.... but hurns is a perennial [fantasy] disappointment. plus i think kevin white is ripped enough to beat him up if he tries to take his spot =P

Exactly..competition breeds success..bring him in and let Inman, Wright, Cam and 2 rookies battle it out. Allen is the only one guarenteed anything.

The guy is another one who is hurt often with soft tissue injuries.

Notice a pattern with habitually injured talents hitting the market?

Not for the Bears evidently.

Does anyone here notice a pattern with an offensively challenged team giving up on their receivers?

He was a QB @ ISU, so he had to change positions.

It's my belief that it will be Meredith and not Gabriel who will be playing the slot next year. I would prefer not to give Gabriel a starting job on the outside so signing someone like Hurns would be fine. That would be a nice group with Robinson and Hurns starting outside, Meredith slot and Gabriel fourth. Then they could afford to let White compete with someone for fifth and Bellamy sit at sixth as a ST player.

I'd rather they drafted a WR early that they can develop into at least a number 2. I'm not comfortable counting on 2 players looking to come back from big season ending knee injuries here. Seems pretty risky imo.

I definitely think they should hold off on signing until after the draft. If someone falls to them of value, take him but don't go into the draft needing a position. If nothing fits, there are good players out there still in FA. I still have my eye on Jordan Matthews.
