Yeah, some of his posts even say he didn't really know much about the US government. He sounded dumb and confused.

He is a terrorist based on the classic definition of terrorism. But trying to use white nationalism or Trump as a motivation, at this point, is just liberal excitement.

Are we operating from the definition of "terrorism" which necessitates a political or ideological rationale or end game in mind, or thebroad "one who causes terror" definition used selectively by people to shape a narrative?

If you want the "political" definition to be used, his label as a "terrorist" has yet to be substantiated, at least from what I've seen (who knows if the Reddit account is real, and I haven't read anything that points to a motive as of yet), and as such is a bit premature, though of course not impossible.

If you want to define "terrorist" as "someone who causes terror", then yes, he is a terrorist, and so are lots of other people who would just otherwise be criminals.
